Astronomy: Sky Map

Astronomy is your observing companion, from planning your evening to choosing your equipment. With Sky Map, discover the most interesting objects to observe based on your location, the date, sky conditions and your equipment. Planets, stars, galaxies, nebulae, clusters and other wonders of the sky are presented with their visibility times, position and tailored advice. Explore the interactive sky map, search for an object and locate it from your observing site. Prepare your target lists, organize your session, then keep a complete observing journal with your notes, photos and sketches. A large catalog remains available offline so you can continue planning or carrying out your observations in the field. Astronomy also brings together the essential information you need to choose the best time: cloud cover, transparency, seeing, wind, darkness, light pollution and the Moon’s influence. The lunar planner shows the phase, brightness, and moonrise and moonset times. Follow space exploration through a dedicated timeline featuring launches, comets, scientific missions and major events. Add your favorite topics, view their calendar and turn on the notifications that interest you. In the field, take advantage of tools designed for astronomers: a compass, spirit level, polar alignment assistant, night vision mode, and connectivity with selected compatible telescopes and mounts. The app also helps you choose your equipment. Browse the Astronomy Store, compare products and their variants, check availability and order directly from the app. You can also explore listings for pre-owned equipment and discover astronomy clubs near you.
