About WA: Slow Presence with Friends
WA is a slow-connection app for sharing presence — not messages — with up to five close friends. There's no chat. No likes. No push notifications. Just a quiet awareness that your old friends are still there. Features - Engawa (Japanese veranda): A small space for up to 5 friends - Auto-sync: Your steps, weather, and mood gently appear on your avatar - AI Avatars: Generated from a single photo - No messaging, no notifications, no ads, no tracking Designed for those tired of social media noise — for people in their 30s and 40s who want to stay loosely connected to old friends without the pressure of replying. Privacy first. No GPS. No analytics. No third-party data sharing beyond what's strictly required for AI avatar generation and weather lookup.
What’s new
Version 1.1.8(26) · Updated September 19, 2026
At night, your avatar now sleeps under a futon. · Postmarks change with the season — a full moon in September, autumn leaves in October · Postcards stack on the veranda, and photos open as an album when there is more than one · Invite links are now invitations to a veranda, and the same link works for 14 days · New arrivals are asked who they want to spend time with, right at the start The app also opens faster, and a few bugs are fixed.
