Orthodox Daily Prayer

Orthodox Daily Prayer is a subscription: after a short setup you choose a yearly or monthly plan to use the app. It renews automatically until you cancel in your Apple ID settings, at least 24 hours before renewal. Pray with the Church, every day. A few questions set the app to your calendar (new or old), your prayer rule and the times you want to pray. TODAY The day in the Church at a glance: the commemoration, the fasting rule, and the day's Epistle and Gospel, one tap from the Bible. PRAYERS Only prayers of the Church, taken from printed Orthodox prayer books with the source named: morning and evening prayers in German, Russian, Romanian, French and Greek. English carries the basic prayers while its prayer book is being prepared. Keep your prayer rule with a quiet reminder in the morning and the evening. CALENDAR Every day of the Church year with feasts, fasting days and readings, on the new or the old calendar. BIBLE The Bible with search, bookmarks, highlights and your own notes. FASTING KITCHEN 30 fasting recipes with quantities and methods, each marked for days without oil, with oil and wine, or with fish. A week planned from the Church calendar, and a shopping list that adds it all up. ALSO Byzantine choir recordings, short lessons on Orthodox faith and practice, and Orthodox churches near you. The app is available in English, German, Russian, Greek, Romanian and French. The fast is kept with the blessing of your spiritual father; the app shows what the calendar prescribes. Your notes, prayer rule and name stay on your device. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
