OshiroCho ~Castle Diary~

"Where did I go again? When was that?" "My castle photos are buried in Camera Roll." "I started collecting 100 Famous Castle stamps but I have no idea how far I've come." OshiroCho is your castle-hopping companion that takes care of all of this. The digital evolution of the Japanese goshuin-style castle stampbook (御城印帳). > Pick the castle. We do the rest. Choose the castle you visited, and the visit date, weather, temperature, season, and day of week show up filled in. All you add is a photo or two and maybe a short note. You stop feeling like you are "traveling in order to log it" and start actually looking back at memories. > Keep your castle seals together Whether you have been collecting castle seals for years or are just starting, you can save multiple seal photos per visit. Keep regular photos and castle seals organized separately, and move photos between them later. Browse all the seals you have collected on a single screen and let "this one was the limited cherry blossom edition" bring back the trip. > All 200 official castles, ready from day one Japan's 100 Famous Castles + Continuing 100 Famous Castles, all 200 of them, are included from the start. Read about each castle's founding year, lord, surviving structures, and cultural property designations. The official castle numbers are shown too, so this works as a partner to your paper stamp book. > Level up every time you visit The more you visit, the higher you climb: Apprentice Warrior, Pilgrim, Lord, Shogun. Earn badges like "12 Original Keeps Conquered", "Prefecture Complete", and "100 Famous Castles 50%". Hints like "X more to conquer" turn into seeds for your next trip. > See every castle on the map See where you have been and where you have not, all on one map. Search by name or area, narrow down to "12 Original Keeps only", or sort by closest first. > Check official information before you go For castles with available links, open official pages for hours and access, 100 Famous Castles stamps, and castle seals from the castle details. Check changing hours, closures, and availability before your trip. > Works even out of signal All 200 castles' data lives inside the app. In a tunnel, on a mountain ruin, the search and the logging just keep going. Weather and similar info are fetched quietly in the background when you are online. > Switch phones without worry Records sync through iCloud. Pick up your new iPhone and your castle history is right there. > Privacy first Photos and notes stay on your iPhone. The only things that leave the device for weather lookup are the date and a rounded castle location (about 1 km precision), never your current location or anything that identifies you.
