Look Away: App Blocker & Focus

Look Away locks the apps you can't put down — automatically, on a cycle you set. Free. No signup, no subscription, no analytics. Nothing leaves your phone. Pick the apps that pull you in. Set how long to use them and how long the break lasts. Tap Start. When the timer's up, the apps lock. When the break's over, they unlock. The cycle keeps going until you tap Stop. Calls, maps, messages, camera — they all keep working. Only the apps you picked get locked. Use it when you study, work, read, drive, eat with people, or just want your phone to stop pulling at you. ONE SCREEN. TWO NUMBERS. Set how long you can use your apps. Set how long the break lasts. Tap Start. That's the whole app. A REAL LOCK, NOT A NUDGE. Most "focus" apps trust you to put your phone down. This one doesn't. When the timer hits zero, the apps you chose are gone — actually, genuinely locked — until your break is over. No friction screens to dismiss. No streaks to maintain. No willpower tax. ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN. The countdown lives on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island, so you can glance at it without unlocking. Watch the app icon's eye open and close as cycles flip between use and break. WORKS WITH SHORTCUTS. "Hey Siri, start Look Away." Add it to your Action Button, a Focus filter, or a Home Screen tile. Start and stop without opening the app. QUIET BY DESIGN. Coral, cream, and olive. No red badges, no streaks, no shaming. PRESETS WORTH TRYING. • 20 / 30 — easy to start • 15 / 45 — good for long reading sessions • 45 / 15 — one stretch of deep work, then a real break Built for people who already tried the app blockers and the focus apps and the screen-time settings, and went back to scrolling.
