About WheelTrip: Wheelchair GPS

WheelTrip is a wheelchair-first trip companion for power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, mobility scooters and other mobility devices. Record GPS trips and review your route, distance, duration and speed. Keep mobility-device profiles, battery and service records together, and choose what to include when you export or share a report. TRIPS AND EVERYDAY USE • GPS trip recording with start, pause and stop controls • Trip history, route maps, observations and personal activity maps • Terrain and steepness measurements as supporting information • Display layouts, themes, map styles, and metric or imperial units • Optional awareness sounds and playback of your own imported music, with a progress slider and skip controls DEVICES, BATTERIES AND REPORTS • Mobility-device profiles with battery and service history • Saved reports and selected exports for your own records or a technician • Battery power (W) and recorded trip consumption (Ah) on iPhone and iPad with a physical Victron SmartShunt, sold separately • SmartShunt connection is available to all users; it does not require a full-access purchase. Select a mobility device, then open Settings > Mobility devices and battery > Connected equipment. Live battery power (W) and recorded trip consumption (Ah) require a physical Victron SmartShunt installed in your mobility device's battery system. The SmartShunt is sold separately. WheelTrip has been tested with the Victron SmartShunt IP65 300 A. The 500 A model has not been tested with WheelTrip. SmartShunt is optional for the rest of the app. Setup requires VictronConnect, Instant Readout and the monitor's private Advertisement Key. WheelTrip reads supported data and does not change the monitor's settings. Our reference setup uses midpoint monitoring, as shown in Victron diagram 5B. This AUX configuration provides midpoint information, not battery temperature. Readings can become stale or unavailable; continuous Bluetooth reception in the background is not guaranteed. WheelTrip works without a connection to your mobility device. Some features depend on your device, permissions, available data or access level. Location permission is needed to record GPS trips. WheelTrip is a support tool. It is not a medical device, safety system, certified reversing alarm or guarantee of route accessibility. GPS, altitude, speed, grade, weather and sensor readings may be inaccurate. Route suggestions are not verified for wheelchair suitability. Always assess the path, traffic, surface and conditions yourself.
