About Read Pray Grow
Read your Bible, pray every day, and you'll grow, grow, grow. Read Pray Grow is a simple, beautiful companion for your daily Bible reading and walk with God. Whether you're memorizing Scripture, keeping a prayer list, or journaling what God is teaching you — everything you need is in one place. A FRESH VERSE EVERY DAY Start each day with a new Bible verse from the Christian Standard Bible. Pin a verse you want to sit with longer, look up any passage, or tap through to read the full chapter. When you've committed a verse to memory, mark it memorized and celebrate with confetti. PRAYER REQUESTS & ANSWERED PRAYERS Keep track of who and what you're praying for, organized by person. When God answers, record how the prayer was answered and move it to your Answered Prayers list — a growing testimony of God's faithfulness. DAILY PRAYER JOURNAL Write what God is teaching you each day with a rich text journal. Bold, italicize, and format your thoughts. Insert Bible verses directly into your entries with the built-in verse lookup. SHAREABLE CARDS Create beautiful share cards for your favorite verses, prayer requests, and answered prayers. Send them to friends, post on social media, or save them as reminders of God's goodness. VERSE OF THE DAY WIDGET Add the widget to your Home Screen for a glance at today's verse without even opening the app. BUILT FOR YOUR DAILY ROUTINE • Daily streak tracking to build a consistent habit • Configurable daily reminder notifications • 12 beautiful background themes with light and dark mode • Customize backgrounds per tab or across the whole app • iCloud sync keeps your data on all your devices • Import/Export features let you take your data with you Read Pray Grow is free, private, and designed to help you grow closer to God one day at a time.
What’s new
Version 1.5.1 · Updated October 8, 2026
What's New in v1.5.1 • Squashed a few bugs What's New in Read Pray Grow 1.5 Go Deeper in Scripture • Read Passage: open the full chapter for any verse right in the app, with verse numbers and a link to read more on Bible Gateway. • Find Verses by Topic: type a topic like "anxiety", "forgiveness" or "hope" and get verses to memorize. Free-form topics use Apple Intelligence on supported devices. Stay Faithful in Prayer • See your progress with "N of M prayed today," and get a small celebration when you've prayed for everyone. • New "Pray for All" button on each contact card. • Quick pray buttons on Today's Requests. • The prayer carousel remembers where you left off. • Today's requests and blessings rotate daily. • Journal streak milestones now record your all-time best. Widgets • Pin a specific verse to your widget. • Turn the Memory Practice widget on or off in Settings. • Widgets retry on their own if a verse can't load. More Reliable • Journal drafts save automatically when you leave the app. • If a verse can't load, you'll see a clear message with a Try Again button. • Streaks and daily reminders are more dependable. • Fixed the Mark Answered popup closing unexpectedly on cards with 3 or more requests. Easier to Use • The app asks before deleting requests, answered prayers, blessings or verses. • The app asks before discarding an answer you've started typing. • Bigger tap targets and a clearer layout for choosing a verse range. Accessibility • Larger text support across verses, the journal, streaks and tiles. • Better VoiceOver labels and controls, including the prayer carousel. • The app follows your Reduce Motion setting.
