About FarmAcc
FarmAcc is the bookkeeping and tax app designed from the ground up for South African farmers, smallholders, and agribusinesses. Stop drowning in paperwork — FarmAcc handles the numbers so you can focus on the farm. RECEIPT SCANNER Point your camera at any receipt or tax invoice. FarmAcc's AI reads supplier names, amounts, VAT, and dates automatically — no typing required. BANK RECONCILIATION Import bank statements from FNB, Standard Bank, ABSA, Nedbank, or Capitec in seconds. FarmAcc matches your transactions to your records automatically, keeping your books up to date year-round. VAT 201 & SARS COMPLIANCE FarmAcc tracks input and output VAT on every transaction. When it's time to file, generate your VAT 201 summary instantly — so your return is correct and your audit trail is clean. SEASONAL PROFIT & LOSS Define your own farming seasons — by crop cycle, livestock intake, or financial year. FarmAcc breaks down income and expenses per season so you can see exactly what's profitable and what isn't. TRAVEL & FUEL LOGBOOK Log business trips and fuel fill-ups with a tap. FarmAcc maintains a SARS-compliant travel logbook automatically, so claiming vehicle expenses is simple and defensible. INVOICES & EXPENSES Create and send professional invoices to customers. Record and categorise farm expenses — seeds, feed, fuel, repairs — and always know what you owe and what you're owed. BUILT FOR SOUTH AFRICAN AGRICULTURE • Supports FNB, Standard Bank, ABSA, Nedbank, and Capitec statement imports • Fully VAT-compliant for SARS eFiling • Suitable for sole proprietors, trusts, and (Pty) Ltd farming operations • Handles multiple farming activities in one account SUBSCRIPTIONS FarmAcc is free for 30 days. What’s new
Version 1.0.18 · Updated October 2, 2026
Bank imports FarmAcc now recognises a statement it has already seen. When most of a file matches transactions you loaded before — even under a different account — the whole batch is unticked and we tell you which account those transactions are already on. Bank charges and debit orders that genuinely appear on two accounts are left alone. You will also be asked to add a bank account before importing. Transactions could previously land on a placeholder account, where they counted in your reports but never showed up in Bank & Match. VAT and reports VAT201 was leaving out transactions on accounts whose dates arrive in a different format. They are now included, so your turnover may go up. A receipt and its matching bank transaction could both claim input VAT on the same purchase. It is now claimed once, so your input tax may go down. Output VAT is now worked out per transaction at the rate that applied on that date, rather than one rate across the whole period. Bank Reconciliation could show no transactions at all on some accounts and never balance. Seasonal P&L dropped a whole month when a custom range started mid-month. The dashboard chart was stacking the same month from different seasons into one bar. The Balance Sheet showed assets as sold even on a date before the sale, and the P&L and Balance Sheet could disagree about a disposal. An invoice saved without a due date disappeared from every report. If you have already filed a VAT return using the old figures, it is worth checking it against this version. Statements and PDFs Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet PDFs have been redesigned, and the bug that produced a blank PDF is fixed. On your phone Tapping the voice note button could close the app. Fixed. Sage could not be reached from the phone apps at all. It now works the same way it does on the web. Deleting your account now sends your data export first, and only removes your login once everything else is confirmed gone. A banner tells you when a new version is available.
