Apply your skills in short phrases and pieces. ◆ Skills that carry over to new music - Reading: recognize landmark notes and intervals in unfamiliar phrases. - Rhythm: keep a steady pulse through long notes, rests and varied rhythms. - Listening and expression: follow melodies, dynamics, phrasing and the balance between voices. - Coordination: pass melodies between hands; hold notes in one while the other continues. - Practice habits: study the score, isolate difficulties, slow down and connect phrases. Build independence as you learn. ◆ Score library and imports · Explore more music - 2,800+ classical piano scores by 140+ composers, including Chopin, Bach, Beethoven and Mozart. - Search by composer, work number and difficulty. - Import MusicXML (.musicxml / .xml) and MXL scores. - Explore seven difficulty dimensions: rhythm, reading, speed and continuity, shifts and leaps, chords and spans, coordination across staves, and expression and articulation. ◆ Intelligent practice · Work toward the whole piece - Follow a progressive path based on phrases and voices: hands separately, hands together, phrase connections and full performance. - Focus on one task at a time and resume with saved progress. ◆ Feedback and annotations · Refine the details - Compare your MIDI performance with the score: pitch, rhythm, legato, staccato, dynamics, pedal and continuity. - Review feedback by measure and note, with practice suggestions. ◆ Free practice and metronome - Start without a score. Set tempo, accents and subdivisions, with support for multiple time signatures and polyrhythms. - Adjust piano and metronome volumes separately, with audio routing and output settings for your setup. 【WHO IT'S FOR】 Beginners, players strengthening their foundations, and experienced learners tackling new pieces, technical challenges and musical expression. Build independence with clear steps and focused feedback. 【USAGE NOTES】 - View lessons and demonstrations in the app. Some exercises support an on-screen keyboard; compatible digital pianos and MIDI keyboards let you practice on physical keys. - Browsing scores, library previews, structure and difficulty analysis work without connected hardware. Performance detection and technical feedback in intelligent practice require a compatible digital piano or MIDI keyboard. PianoTrace analyzes MIDI, not acoustic piano audio through a microphone. - Difficulty reflects score demands, not official exam grades or predicted learning time. - Full in-depth difficulty analysis, intelligent practice workflows and detailed annotations require PianoTrace Pro.
