About Augur

Augur is the dice-statistics and tournament companion for Warhammer: The Old World. It turns every to-hit, to-wound, save, charge, and casting roll into the exact probability distribution, and follows every event on the circuit as it happens. DICE STATISTICS • The dice lab — chain a full hit → wound → save → ward sequence and read the exact distribution of wounds, not just an average, with a sample roll log. • Rerolls, your way — set reroll rules for failures and successes on each step independently. Every die is only ever rerolled once. • Stack your attacks — total a unit, its champion, and its mount in one forecast, with stomp or impact hits at their own Strength. ODDS FOR EVERY PHASE • Charge — charge-range odds for every distance, with rerolls, Swiftstride, and difficult terrain. • Spells — casting and dispel rolls with bonuses, channelled dice, irresistible force, and miscast probability. • Templates — expected hits from blast and teardrop templates against ranked units of any frontage and base size. Scatter a template and see where the hits land. • Cannon — cannon fire against a ranked target: drag the cannon and aim point, see expected hits, misfire and bounce rates, then fire one rolled shot. • Leadership — break, panic, and psychology tests with modifiers, rerolls, and inspiring presence, on 2D6 or 3D6 Maximise / Minimise. • Combat result — tally each side's combat result and read the loser's break-test odds as a curve. RUN THE GAME • Score — keep the running total for both sides in a matched-play or WTC game. Paste in an army list, pick a primary scoring table, add secondary objectives, and track every turn with a live timer. • Rules — the quick-reference tables you actually roll on (panic, miscast, stomp, terrain, scatter, and more), plus typo-tolerant search across the rulebook and community FAQ. FOLLOW THE TOURNAMENTS • Home — a featured event, live top-three standings for the tournaments you follow, recent results, the monthly faction report, Warhammer Community news, and creator Shorts. • Tournaments — Old World events from Best Coast Pairings, NewRecruit, Old World Rankings, The Old World Federation, ChampionsHub, and Ecksen in one searchable list, with standings, round pairings, team scores, and the army lists players actually brought. AUGUR PRO • Ask the rules — ask a rules question in your own words. The answer comes from the rulebook and FAQ, cites its passages, and works out the odds with Augur's dice engine: charges, combat, templates, cannon shots, and break tests. Answered on Apple's Private Cloud Compute. • Notifications — favourite a tournament and hear when each round is posted and when it finishes, with who is leading and with which army. New Old World articles from Warhammer Community can ping you too. • MCP access — create a key and use Augur's dice engine and rules search from your AI assistant. Augur Pro is a yearly auto-renewing subscription. Cancel any time in your App Store account settings; Pro stays active until the end of the paid year. What’s new

Version 2.2.0 · Updated November 4, 2026

2.2.0 — Battle reports and a livelier game. • Battle report (Augur Pro): when a game ends, AI writes the story of your battle from its turns, notes and photos, with the key moments (a General slain, a standard taken, an army broken) and your turn photos placed in the text. Share it when it's done. • Game: each new turn and game turn is announced with an animation, and each side's objective markers, bonuses and secondaries and Winds of Magic now sit above the unit lists. • Game setup: picking a scenario turns on only the objectives it requires. Randomize rolls its optional ones, with a sparkle that hops between them. • Turn log: shown with the result once the game ends. Undo last turn is in the ⋯ menu. • Past games: the army lists both sides played are saved with the game. • Armies: units you add and lists you import fly to where they land. Imports read more lists correctly: Full Command, counted options, plural and misspelled option names, and units listed in two categories. • YouTube links open in the YouTube app. • Plus fixes and refinements.
