Bettr: Gambling Addiction Help

Bettr makes real help and support available for anyone struggling with gambling, no matter where you are, when you need it, or who you are. Here is how: Anonymity: Your information stays private and is never shared with us. Giving your name is optional. Urge tracker: When an urge hits, log its intensity, its trigger, where you were, and whether you were alone. Bettr then suggests an exercise matched to that urge to help you ride it out. Urge report: Logged urges build into a report showing which situations, environments, and emotions lead to your urges. This helps you find your patterns and break them. Coping toolkit: A library of therapeutic exercises, including guided meditation for anxiety, riding out an urge, and managing impulsivity. Full guided therapy: Part 1: Cognitive Motivational Behaviour Therapy: 12 sessions in 4 modules: Motivation (1), Behavioural skills (2), Cognitive work (7), Relapse prevention (2). Part 2: Imaginal Desensitization plus Motivational Interviewing: 6 sessions, one per module: Education and motivation, Financial planning, Behavioural interventions, Meditative practice, Cognitive therapy, Relapse prevention. Gambling site and app blocker: Blocks over 290,000 gambling sites plus 52 major operators. Bettr cuts the connection before the site loads, so they simply will not work. Community: Others going through the same thing, with anonymous posting available. Connect and talk, and you will quickly learn you are not alone. Accountability partner: Add one person, from your life or from the app, who gets notified when you are struggling with an intense urge. Optional. Progress tracking: See how much money you have saved, how many lessons you have completed, and your days clean. Journal: A place to vent, write down your reasons for quitting, or note anything for later. Debt tracker: Log your debt and payments to watch it go down. This stays on your device and is never sent to any server. This is optional. Crisis lines: 988 and 1-800-GAMBLER are one tap away. Whether you are about to relapse and need urgent support, want to start recovery, or have already begun and want another layer of help, Bettr is here for it. The app may not be perfect, so if you have a suggestion or found a bug, let us know at [email protected]. Your feedback is important to us! P.S. With gambling more glamorized than ever and pushed through predatory marketing, more people are being exposed to it every year. Many feel embarrassed to attend GA, make a phone call, or have no support around them. Bettr exists to make recovery as accessible and safe as possible, and if you choose to stay anonymous, you can. Bettr requires a subscription. Plans are $9.99 a month or $49.99 a year, each with a 3-day free trial. All features described here, including the recovery plan, progress tracking, the AI coach, the app and website blocker, and the community, require an active subscription.
