New - Photos for places: take a photo or pick one from your library when adding a place, then choose a nearby spot or search by name. Each place holds up to 12 photos, and owners and collaborators can both upload - Share photos from your library to Souj: one photo can start a new place or join an existing one; several go into an existing place's album - Plan a route: tick places in a collection and open them in Google Maps (up to 11 stops) - Add section headings and connecting notes to places, including "from the last stop" right when you add one. Custom order now also has reversed and reversed-by-section views - Place tags are now chips, and you can pick from tags already used in the collection - Color labels now default to categories like Travel and Food, with 15 more icons to choose from - A compact list view in collections shows about three times as many places per screen Improvements - Permanently closed places disappear from the Nearby map, Explore, and Nearby collections on Home, and places you navigate to from a list are checked when you return - Nearby collections on Home no longer show convenience stores and similar utilities - After adding a place from a link or photo shared from another app, tap the success message to open that collection - When adding places from photos, splitting sections by photo date now turns on or off based on the collection type - Editing a section heading or connecting note switches the collection to custom order so you see it right away - Leaving an edit screen or form without saving now asks whether to discard your changes - Copying collections and places is now limited to the collection owner - Ranked lists now sort by rank, and uniform star ratings that carried no information are no longer shown Fixes - Routes opened in Google Maps now show place names, and overlapping places no longer leave Google Maps stuck on the input screen - Collection owners no longer get "collaborator edited or deleted a place" notifications when no collaborator did anything - Adding several places in a row to a custom-ordered collection no longer reverses their order - Collections with reviewed places could not be deleted, which could also block account deletion - A new collection's cover now appears right after you save its first place, and the tag filter updates right after you edit tags - Uploaded avatars and covers no longer carry photo metadata such as location - Very long place notes no longer stretch the card - Corrected map pins for a number of places
