About Severe Weather Guardian
Weather you can explore. Answers you can understand. Weather maps can be confusing, and for blind and low-vision users, vital information is too often out of reach. Severe WeatherGuardian helps change that with accessible Live Radar, clear weather explanations, and AI you can talk to. Built for accessibility, WeatherGuardian combines rich visual maps, VoiceOver support, and hands-free controls. Explore by touch, listen, or ask a question. RADAR YOU CAN FINALLY EXPLORE With VoiceOver Touch Explorer, move your finger across the radar map to hear about nearby storms, their movement, and official warnings. Radar Coach puts rain, wind, hail, and signs of storm rotation into everyday language. Visual maps and Advanced Radar views offer a closer look for anyone who wants more detail. Live Radar is included with Plus. NEW: JUST ASK WEATHERGUARDIAN AI “What's the severe-weather risk for my town?” “Show me the live radar for Denver.” “What are the biggest threats today?” Basic AI — Voice Navigation is free. Use your voice to move around the app, choose a location, switch screens, control your selected radio station, and check weather risks. Advanced AI — Conversation lets you ask follow-up questions and get help understanding the storms, maps, and forecasts on your screen. Make sense of what you're seeing or hearing, one question at a time. Enable Advanced Radar, change layers, and ask questions about what's happening. Tap Talk, or set up AI and ask Siri to start a chat. Use hands-free conversation, read along, or listen with VoiceOver. Say “pause chat” or “end chat” whenever you need to. Try five free Advanced AI replies per eligible App Store account, shared across devices. After that, conversations require Plus. Navigation never uses a reply. Reinstalling does not reset the preview. It starts no subscription and is separate from App Store subscription trials. KEEP THE PLACES YOU LOVE IN VIEW Get National Weather Service warnings for one saved location free. Plus adds more locations and alert types. With your permission, Critical Alerts can sound for selected life-threatening warnings. Check forecasts and weather risks, track hurricanes and reported wildfires with Plus, listen to available NOAA Weather Radio streams, and add weather widgets to your home screen. AI is optional and requires iOS 27+. Advanced AI requires a compatible device with Apple Intelligence enabled, internet access, and Apple Private Cloud Compute availability. It uses your messages, speech transcripts, weather information, and screenshots taken while the app is open. Audio is converted to text on your device; chats and screenshots are not saved. Other app features support iOS 17+. Weather information, AI answers, radar analysis, and notifications may be incorrect or delayed. Always follow official warnings, NOAA Weather Radio, Wireless Emergency Alerts, and local emergency instructions.
