Yumei: Learn Chinese & Spanish

Yumei teaches Mandarin Chinese and Spanish by talking with you. Start with a conversation on day one, and every word you meet becomes a flashcard scheduled by FSRS spaced repetition. Translations appear on the words you don't know yet and fade away as you learn them. Who Is It For? Whether you’re learning for travel, culture, academic study, work, conversation, or personal growth, Yumei adapts practice around your current level and goals. Why Yumei? Most apps keep your lessons, your flashcards, and your progress in separate places. Yumei keeps one model of your vocabulary, and everything in the app reads from it and writes back to it. • When you talk with your tutor, it speaks at exactly your level; words that you do not know are translated. • When you read, the text is at just above your level so you learn at an optimal rate • When you use a word, in a conversation, a lesson, or a game, its flashcard learns from that too. • Your CEFR level is calculated from your vocabulary knowledge. What's Inside • Conversations: open-ended voice practice with an AI tutor at your level. • Lessons: a guided path of short role-play lessons, plus custom lessons for any situation you describe. • Reading: passages written from your vocabulary and a library of everyday scenes. • Shadowing: listen and repeat to build rhythm and pronunciation. • Smart Flashcards and Arcade: FSRS review, plus quick games like Tone Trainer for Mandarin and Gender Trainer for Spanish. • Decks, Dictionary, and Grammar: CEFR vocabulary, a full offline dictionary, and a plain-language grammar library. • Progress: CEFR A1-C2 tracking, daily goals, streaks, and insights.
