About Walkbert
Walkbert is the GPS journal for dog owners — precise tracking, a warm design, and absolutely no creepy analytics. • Live GPS with route, pace, distance and auto-pause detection • Apple Watch standalone tracker: works without your iPhone, syncs later • Markers for water, poop, pee, treats, encounters, danger spots and photos • Walk journal with star ratings, notes, weather and photos • Multiple dogs per walk — with per-dog stats and health check • Danger-zone warnings when you approach a marked area • Statistics: streaks, weekly overview, health trends, per-dog breakdown • Home-screen widgets: streak, last walk, weekly stats, quick start • Live Activity on Lock Screen & Dynamic Island during active walks • Route discovery: new trail suggestions nearby • PDF journal export as a printable A5 book • GPX export for compatibility with other apps • Live sharing: share your current walk with family or friends • Siri shortcuts: "Start a walk with Walkbert" Privacy first: your walks stay on your device. No account required, no ads, no third-party tracking. Apple Health integration is optional for heart-rate and workout recording. Walkbert Pro (one-time purchase, yours forever) unlocks unlimited walks, Watch standalone mode, live sharing and all premium features. 14-day free trial included.
What’s new
Version 1.1.0 · Updated September 26, 2026
The biggest overhaul since launch: Walkbert is tidier, quieter, and far more independent on Apple Watch. NEW • Watch face: your walk in progress and your daily goal as a complication — one glance at your wrist is enough • Smart Stack: the “Next Walk” widget turns up by itself as your usual time comes around TIDIED UP • Settings are their own tab with calm subpages instead of one endless list • The Walk tab no longer has everything competing for attention — only ever one notice at a time • Health data lives where you look for it: in the dog’s profile • Statistics in three groups — Activity, Dogs, Health OUT ON THE WALK • Every marker in one grid, with a noticeable response to your tap • Finishing asks once instead of stopping the walk straight away • The summary in one go: rate it, make a note, read the dog fact — and a single Save button • Apple Watch follows Apple’s page model, and the timer keeps running on the always-on display POLISH • Dynamic Type up to the accessibility sizes, Dark Mode and Reduce Motion throughout • Widgets in the app’s paper look instead of system chrome
