khwela South Africa

Khwela connects passengers and drivers in Greytown and the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands with a ride experience built for local roads — transparent pricing, live GPS, and safety tools you can use when a trip is active. RIDE WITH TRANSPARENCY See your fare before you confirm. Track your driver on the map from pickup to drop-off. Chat in-app and follow clear trip status at every stage. MULTI-DESTINATION TRIPS Plan journeys with more than one stop. Add intermediate destinations when you book; your driver receives a single route with navigation across each leg — ideal for errands, school runs, clinic visits, and multi-point trips across town. IN-APP SOS During an active trip, passengers and drivers can use the red SOS button on the trip map. Confirm once to alert Khwela operations with your live trip details and location in Greytown. For emergencies requiring police or ambulance, call 10111 first. PROFESSIONALLY VETTED DRIVERS Khwela applies rigorous driver onboarding. Each application is reviewed by our operations team before approval. Required documentation includes: * South African driver’s licence (front and back) * Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) * Roadworthy certificate (COR) * Vehicle photos (front, side, interior) * Driver identity photos for passenger-facing verification * Vehicle model year — maximum five (5) years old Applications with missing, invalid, or non-compliant documents are declined.
