Chalk Golf keeps your golf in one place. Trace your shots, see your swing against a coach's lines and read the break on the green. Keep score by voice or by hand, run a society day with friends and keep track of practice and spending. BALL TRACER Pick a video of your shot, or film one in the app. Chalk listens for the strike, follows the ball and draws its flight over the clip. If it can't tell which ball is yours, it asks you to tap it. Reshape the flight, choose a tracer colour and save the video to share. • Works from ordinary iPhone video, with a white or hi-vis ball • Best filmed from behind the golfer, with the sky in frame and the sound on • Free to try, with a daily limit. Saving the traced video requires Pro. SWING STUDIO Record your swing or pick a video you already have. Chalk spots the ball and the hole, reads the slope between them and shows where to aim, how far to hit it and what the putt plays as. • Aim in balls and cups left or right of the hole • Hit-it and plays-as distances, slope, apex and fall line • Green maps: scan a green once with a LiDAR iPhone and keep a contour map of its slopes Requires Pro. The putt helper needs an iPhone that supports ARKit. Slope reads are most accurate with LiDAR (iPhone 12 Pro or a later Pro model); on other iPhones, distance is reliable but slope and break are rough estimates. Green maps need LiDAR. Reads are estimates. The Rules of Golf don't allow this kind of read in a competition round, so use it for practice and casual golf.
