Thinned

Thinned is the painting journal built for hobbyists who paint tabletop miniatures. Log every session, save the recipes that work, and keep your paint library organised — all on your device, no account needed. — FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS — SESSIONS Start a session when you sit down to paint. The built-in timer runs in the background while you focus on the brush. Pause, resume, capture photos as you go, and save notes on technique. When you're done, see your total time, a ticked list of what you worked on, and the paints you used. PROJECTS Track every mini, squad, and army. Add cover photos, set status (Planned, In Progress, Complete), link sessions, and build up a gallery of progress shots. RECIPES Save the exact combination of paints and steps that got you a result you're proud of. Link recipes to projects, generate share codes or QR codes, and swap them with the painters you game with. PAINT LIBRARY 11,442 paints from 34 brands — Citadel, Vallejo, Army Painter, Scale75, AK Interactive, Monument Hobbies, Two Thin Coats, Kimera, and more. Mark what you own, rate them, add notes, build a wishlist. Add your own custom mixes too. COLOUR WHEEL See your inventory plotted on an HSL wheel. Generate harmony schemes — complementary, triadic, analogous, split-complementary. Filter by metallics. Find the paint you didn't know you already had. GALLERY & HABIT TRACKER All your session photos in one scrollable grid. A calendar heatmap of painting days to build the habit. EXPORT TO INSTAGRAM Build a project showcase or recipe card in the in-app wizard. Reposition photos, pick an aspect ratio, scale the text, and save or share straight out. — PRICING — Free forever with everything you need to get started: up to 5 projects, 25 recipes, unlimited sessions, the full paint library, colour wheel, habit tracker. Pro unlocks everything — one-time purchase, no subscription. — PRIVATE BY DEFAULT — All your data lives on your device. An account is only needed to share recipes with other painters. We don't track you, don't run ads, and don't sell data to anyone. — WORKS WITH ANY MINIATURE — Tabletop wargames, skirmish games, roleplaying figures, historical models, display pieces, fantasy and sci-fi minis, 3D prints, scratch builds, and kitbashes. If you can paint it, Thinned can track it. Thinned is an independent app. Paint brand names are used to identify products and are the property of their respective owners.
