What’s new
Version 1.5.4 · Updated October 1, 2026
Memories, video, and a fresh look for photos MEMORIES • Share a Memory or an Update. Memories carry a date, such as "July 1987." • Add a caption and date to each photo, not just the post. • Label what's in a photo. Tap a spot and type "Grandma's garden" or "our first house." PHOTOS & VIDEO • A redesigned full-screen photo view: bigger heart, easy-to-read captions, and one place for captions, comments, hearts, and tags. • Post videos, trimmed right in the app. • Landscape photos and videos now show at their real shape. • Videos play smoothly when you swipe between the feed and full screen. • Comments and hearts now open in one sheet, and the keyboard no longer covers what you're typing. INVITING YOUR LOVED ONE • Scan one QR code to install the app and sign in. No app store search, no typing a code. • A personalized invitation card when you share the link over Messages. • Sign-in codes and links now last 24 hours, and refresh automatically, so a shared code never expires in someone's hands. • Setting up a loved one is now three steps instead of five. • A clearer "Sign in as VIP" button on the welcome screen, with a reminder that your loved one doesn't need to create an account. • Signed a loved one's phone in with a regular account by mistake? You can now switch it over to their VIP sign-in without getting stuck. • If you open an invitation before the app is installed, or leave to fetch a code from your email, the app now remembers it and picks up where you left off. • A code that has expired or been used now tells you how to get a new one. • On Android, invitation links from tlcapp.io now open right in the app. ACCESSIBILITY • Every screen, from posting to the full-screen viewer, now fits large text sizes cleanly. • A new, more readable font throughout the app. ALSO • Phone numbers from the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are accepted at sign-up. • Phone and email sign-up now shows a clear reason if something goes wrong instead of "Connection failed." • Photos and videos no longer get stuck loading after an interrupted upload. • Sign-in fixes for a crash that could happen when a notification arrived. • Videos resume when you return to the app. • Android: the app now adapts to tablets and other large screens, and stays upright on phones. • Android: photos load faster and use less memory.
