About Rooteen - Gamify Teen's Habits

Your routine, but it's an RPG. Wake up, brush teeth, make bed, homework, chores. Boring, right? Rooteen turns every daily task into a quest. Mark it done, earn XP, climb levels, keep your streak alive. Unlock achievements for things like finishing 3 tasks before 9am, or keeping a 30-day streak through a school break. No baby stickers. No cartoon sheep. No "Good job!" pat on the head. Real gamification, built for pre-teens and teens. — WHAT YOU GET (ALL FREE) — • XP & Levels — every task earns points, points turn into levels • Streaks — miss a day, lose the streak. Motivation built in. • Achievements — badges for early birds, streak keepers, overachievers, and more • 68 Avatars — astronauts, dragons, wizards, ninjas, animals, and more • Preset task catalog — pick your routine from ready-made tasks across 5 categories (Hygiene, School, Movement, Home, Evening) • Focus Timer — set a target duration for homework or reading, hit it for bonus recognition Wrapped in a dark interface designed to look nothing like a preschool app. — HOW TO GET STARTED — 1. Download Rooteen 2. Pick your avatar 3. Choose your daily tasks from the preset catalog 4. Start checking them off and earning XP That's it. You can use Rooteen completely on your own. — OPTIONAL: PAIR WITH A PARENT — If your parent installs Rooteen Family (free on the App Store) and subscribes to Pro, you can pair with a 6-digit code. Pairing unlocks: • Custom tasks your parent creates just for you • Family Challenges — time-limited quests where the first sibling to finish wins bonus XP • Global Leaderboard once you've completed 10+ tasks across 3+ categories • Parent badges sent with a celebration animation • Optional approval mode if your parent wants to review what you finish Pairing is 100% optional. If you use Rooteen solo, you still get all the core gamification — XP, streaks, achievements, avatars, timer. — AGES 8-13 — Rooteen was built for the weird in-between age: too old for kid apps, too young for adult productivity tools. The dark interface, the RPG mechanics, the design — all built around what pre-teens actually respond to. — FREE TO DOWNLOAD — Rooteen is free. The optional features above (Family Challenges, custom parent tasks, leaderboard, badges, approval) require your parent to subscribe to Rooteen Family Pro on their device. Available in English, French, Spanish, and Japanese. Level up your real life.

What’s new

Version 1.1 · Updated May 20, 2026

Timer goals now work both ways. Some tasks reward finishing fast (get dressed, tidy up); others reward going longer (reading, exercise, brushing teeth) — pick the goal per task. Home screen widget: choose which kid it shows, and tasks you complete straight from the widget now count fully — XP, streaks and badges. Plus: smoother task completion when you tap quickly, and you can now rate Rooteen from Settings.
