About Surviva: Emergency Alerts
When a warning hits your area, Surviva tells you in plain words what's happening, where, and what to do first, right on your Lock Screen, before you even open the app. Hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, floods, earthquakes, heat and smoke: one calm app that watches the places you care about and turns official alerts into clear next steps. LIVING ALERT CARDS When the National Weather Service issues an alert for your place, Surviva opens a rich alert card: what is happening, the official alert area on a map, a short checklist of what to do first and, when the forecast includes them, the worst hours and live wind and gusts. More than one alert at once? Swipe through all of them in one stack. ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN Follow an active warning on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island with a Live Activity. A distinct alert sound tells you it's Surviva. Set it to Signature, Subtle or Off. THE MAP IS YOUR HOME SCREEN The live map opens first: earthquakes from USGS, wildfire hotspots from NASA satellites, hurricane tracks from the National Hurricane Center, volcano alerts, air quality and disease outbreaks. Tap an alert for the latest clear satellite picture of the area when one exists, labelled with the date it was taken. YOUR PLACES, ANYWHERE Watch home, work and other places you care about, in the US and abroad. Each place shows its warnings, air and sky, and says plainly when a source can't be checked. Outside the US, warnings come from Apple Weather. SKY AND AIR • Forecasts from Apple Weather: the next hour of rain where it's available, the next 24 hours and the next 10 days • Street-level air from nearby sensors, with its trend and the past 24 hours • Window advice: when to close up for smoke, and when it's fine to air out • Space weather and tonight's aurora chances, from live NOAA data PRACTICE IN THE TRAINING LAB Rehearse a tornado, wildfire, earthquake, flood, hurricane, tsunami and more in 3D on your own map. Every drill is clearly marked as training and never sends anything to anyone. GO LIVE Share live video of what's happening where you are. Recordings are checked before anyone else can see them, and you can report a broadcast or block a broadcaster. SOS AND FAMILY CIRCLE One-tap SOS is always free and alerts the trusted contacts you choose. Family Circle lets your household check in with "I'm safe" or "I need help" so you know who is okay. READY BEFORE IT HAPPENS • Step-by-step first-aid and emergency guides for CPR, choking, severe bleeding, fire and earthquakes that work without a signal • A daily safety briefing you can read or listen to • An AI safety coach for your questions (you choose whether to turn on AI features) • A Prepared Score that grows as you get ready, with optional Apple Health support WHERE THE ALERTS COME FROM Surviva reads official public sources, including the National Weather Service, the National Hurricane Center, the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center, USGS, NASA, FEMA, CDC, WHO and EPA AirNow, and Apple Weather. Surviva is independent and is not affiliated with any government agency. Always follow instructions from local officials. FREE TO START SOS, Medical ID, local official alerts from the National Weather Service, the daily briefing and the basic skills library are free, with a daily allowance of AI questions. Surviva Plus adds unlimited AI questions, national and worldwide alerts, the Family SOS network for up to 6 people, text and voice emergency notifications, and the 72-hour outlook. SUBSCRIPTIONS & LEGAL Surviva Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription ($9.49/month or $74.99/year). Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. What’s new
Version 1.1.0 · Updated October 4, 2026
Living alert cards, a map-first home and a 3D Training Lab. • When the National Weather Service issues an alert for your place, Surviva now opens a rich alert card: what is happening, the official area on a map, what to do first and, when the forecast includes them, the worst hours. • More than one alert? Swipe through all of them in one stack. • Follow an active warning on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island with a Live Activity. • The live map is now your home screen, with dated satellite pictures for alerts when available. • New Lifeline view on the map: hospitals, fire stations, shelters and other help nearby, with estimated walking and driving times. • During an alert or a practice drill, Route lights a trail on your way out, away from the danger, and says plainly when no safe path can be confirmed. Turn to face it and Surviva tells you when you're facing the safe way. • Watch places anywhere in the world, with Apple Weather forecasts and warnings abroad. • Street-level air with its trend and past 24 hours, plus advice on when to close or open windows. • Space weather and aurora chances from live NOAA data. • Practice real emergencies in the new 3D Training Lab. Drills are always marked as training. • Go Live to share video of what's happening near you, with reporting and blocking built in. • The Media tab plays Surviva's own hazard films, always labelled as illustrative footage, not live news. • New Threat Level and Street Air widgets for your Home Screen. • A signature alert sound so you know it's Surviva. Choose Signature, Subtle or Off. • Share any alert with a link that shows family and friends the same card. • Plus fixes and speed improvements.
