This update brings a new home, a rebuilt Codex, and dice worth collecting. TURNS THAT READ LIKE A STORY Everyone in your story now has their own color, with a small face next to their name. Tap a name to see who it is. Conversations play out side by side, the way a chat does. Letters, text messages and computer logs look like the real thing, and some of them you can answer. A NEW HOME Pick up where you left off, or read a quick recap if you have been away. Browse ready stories, roll a die for a fresh idea, or watch the forge write one for you. Each week, one story made by a player becomes the story of the week. COLLECT YOUR DICE 36 dice to earn as you play, each with its own look and its own feel on every roll. Choose your first die when you start, and switch to a new one whenever you like. A CODEX THAT KNOWS YOUR STORY Every person, item, place and group now has its own page. See what changed since your last turn, call in a favor someone owes you, and tap any picture to see it full screen. A CLEARER GAME SCREEN A new scene card keeps who is with you, your condition and your latest finds in view. New items, shifting relationships and money now show the moment they happen. It also fits landscape and iPad better. ART FROM THE START Portraits, places and the world map are drawn without extra steps, and images look sharper across the story. The map now shows a picture for every place you have been. STORIES THAT KEEP THEIR RULES Each story now carries its own rules, written from your words, and the story follows them turn after turn. CHOICES YOU CAN READ AT A GLANCE Each choice shows who or what it involves, and the number you need on your own die. After the roll, a short strip tells you how it went. When you fail, it costs you something, and the story moves on from there. A STORY THAT REMEMBERS Countdowns show trouble building before it hits. When an old moment comes back, a note tells you which turn it came from and opens it on the Story Map. Every story keeps its own date, time and weather. Back after a long break? A short card catches you up. EMBERS ON YOUR HOME SCREEN Your embers now sit next to your die. A cold fire comes back with one tap, and the hearth fire has a new look. ALSO NEW Swipe from the edge to go back. The New story card takes you straight to the forge. Pick how much space sits beside the text in Settings. Write to me from Settings > From the maker. I read every message. Menus and grids fit the iPad better. SMALL THINGS THAT ADD UP Turns and new stories hold steady when you lose signal or leave the app, plus many fixes across all 46 languages.
