Reconcile: Confession Guide

Confession is one of the most beautiful gifts of the Catholic faith — and for many of us, one of the most intimidating. It's been too long. I won't know what to say. I'll forget something. Reconcile is here to quiet that fear. Reconcile walks with you through the whole sacrament: a thorough examination of conscience, a clear step-by-step guide to what happens in the confessional, and a gentle way to make reconciliation a lasting part of your spiritual life. PREPARE WITH CONFIDENCE • A guided examination of conscience based on the Ten Commandments, with practical, honest reflection questions • Each commandment paired with deeper context from the Catechism and Scripture • Quick Prep, a focused five-minute examination for when you go regularly • Privately mark what you want to bring to confession, note how many times, and add anything the questions don't cover in your own words — just for you • A clear guide to the difference between mortal and venial sin, grounded in the Catechism KNOW WHAT TO SAY • A step-by-step walkthrough of the sacrament, from the Sign of the Cross to the Act of Contrition • The walkthrough draws in the sins you noted, how many times, and how long it's been, so the words come easily • The full Act of Contrition and other prayers in large, easy-to-read text for the confessional • A compassionate guide for coming back if it has been years — you are not the first, and you are welcome END THE DAY IN GRATITUDE • The Daily Examen of St. Ignatius: five movements, five minutes • Gratitude, a look back over your day, forgiveness, and a resolution for tomorrow BUILD THE HABIT • Log each confession and watch your spiritual life unfold over time • Record the penance you were given and get a gentle reminder to complete it • Gentle reminders to return, as often as you choose — never guilt, never shame • A private journal for your reflections after each confession FIND A PARISH • Search for Catholic parishes near you when you're ready to go PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your examination, your confessions, your journal — all of it stays on your device.
