About Logge

Logge turns your iPhone or iPad into a complete ship's log – built for use on the water. On board Create a voyage in seconds and start logging right away. Every log entry records GPS position, course, speed (kn), wind force (Beaufort), wind direction, sea state, visibility, air pressure, water depth, water temperature, sail setting and engine status. GPS data is filled in automatically, and every entry shows how far you've come since the start of the voyage. Over Wi-Fi (TCP/UDP), Logge takes data from compatible chart plotters and NMEA multiplexers. Boat & manoeuvres Sailing boat or motorboat – the forms show only relevant fields. Quick actions for tack, gybe, reef, engine, anchor and more create pre-filled log entries, also via Siri or a shortcut. Automatic course-change detection suggests an entry as soon as your course changes noticeably. Air pressure from the iPhone barometer, even offline, with a trend arrow. Anchor & route At anchor, Logge monitors an adjustable swinging circle and sounds an alarm as soon as the boat leaves it – even in the background and with a Focus active. Logge records your route in the background, even with the screen off. Distances are measured along the actual route, split into sailing, engine and time at anchor. Voyage review & statistics Every completed voyage shows total distance, distance under sail and under engine, average and top speed, wind rose, weather history and the share under sail. The statistics tab sums up nautical miles, days at sea, engine hours, records and favourite ports – with an annual goal and filters by vessel and year. Spotted a mistake in an entry of a completed voyage? Time, log reading, sail setting, engine, weather and remarks can be corrected; position, course and speed stay as recorded. In the PDF, a star marks corrected entries. Sea miles certificate For sailing licence applications: a PDF certificate of your chosen voyages with total distance, days at sea, night miles and cruising area – signed on the spot with your finger or Apple Pencil if you like. Whether it is accepted is decided by the issuing authority. Night mode (Logge Pro) Extremely dark and red-tinted, so your eyes stay adapted on night passages. Switch it with the moon symbol in a running voyage, or automatically at sunset and sunrise. Maps turn dark and the route is drawn in a shade of red. PDFs and map exports stay light. Photos in your logbook (Logge Pro) Up to 10 photos per log entry, up to 30 per voyage – via the system photo picker, so Logge only sees the photos you choose. They appear as round pictures on the voyage map, as "Voyage in pictures" in the statistics and, if you like, as a photo appendix in the PDF logbook. Photo suggestions: Logge finds pictures from your trip in your library and matches them to entries – only after an explanation, and the search runs entirely on your device. Export, backup & organisation Export your logbook as a PDF in A4 landscape with a print margin, and each voyage's route as a GPX track. Back up your logbook, photos included, to a file and restore it at any time – merged instead of overwritten. Single voyages can be shared as a file. Logge Pro One-time purchase, no subscription. Pro unlocks: night mode, photos in your logbook, your own goals, the career certificate, free column selection in the PDF logbook, GPX import, CSV export, season comparison, fuel analysis and cruising-area heat map. What’s new

Version 1.10 · Updated October 22, 2026

What's new in version 1.10: • Correct entries of completed voyages: swipe an entry and tap "Correct". Time (UTC), log reading, sail setting, engine, engine hours, fuel, weather and remarks can be changed; position, course, speed and distance stay as recorded. Corrected entries are marked in the details and in the PDF logbook (star with footnote); the CSV export has a new "edited_at" column. • Loggy explains: after a fresh install, Loggy shows a short tip the first time you visit each screen and explains before your first voyage why Logge needs your location and notifications – only then does iOS ask. You can bring the tips back in Settings. • The notification prompt no longer appears at every launch, only once before your first voyage. • Backups are now ZIP files including photos; older backups restore as before. Important: backups made with 1.10 cannot be read by Logge 1.9 and older – relevant if you use several devices. • iPhone with iOS 27: a separate "Start voyage" button next to the tab bar, which becomes "New entry" in a running voyage. • iOS 26.1 and later: a bar above the tab bar shows the running voyage with vessel, time since departure and distance. • Map PDFs are now always light, also in Dark Mode. New in Logge Pro (one-time purchase, no subscription): • Night mode: extremely dark and red-tinted for night passages, via a switch in Settings or the moon symbol in a running voyage. Maps turn dark and the route is drawn in a shade of red. It can also switch automatically at sunset and sunrise; Logge only uses your location for this if you have already allowed it. PDFs and map exports stay light; the system keyboard and photo picker stay dark but are not tinted. • Photos on log entries (up to 10) and voyages (up to 30): Logge uses the system photo picker and only sees the photos you choose. • Photos on the voyage map and "Voyage in pictures" in the voyage statistics. • Photo appendix in the PDF logbook: six photos per page; you can leave out single photos or the whole appendix. • Photo suggestions: Logge can search your library for photos taken along the route and match them to entries. Logge explains what happens first; the search runs entirely on your device. You choose what is added. • Everything from before stays unchanged. Photos that arrive from another device are visible without Pro. Also: when you switch a boat from motorboat to sailboat, Logge asks about the engine in the entries, plus minor bug fixes and stability improvements.
