CartSum – Shopping Calculator

CartSum adds up your shopping cart while you are still in the store. Enter the price of each item as it goes in - by unit or by weight, with a discount if there is one - and the running total stays on screen the whole time. MADE FOR THE AISLE In a store your phone is in one hand and the item in the other, so CartSum keeps to the essentials: a big keypad under your thumb, a couple of taps per item, and a total that updates instantly. It is a shopping calculator for people who would rather know the total in advance than work it out at the register. WHAT CARTSUM DOES Fast price entry Its own numeric keypad with large buttons instead of the small system keyboard. Quick decimal keys add the cents - .49, .95, .99 - in a single tap. By unit or by weight Enter a price and a quantity - or, for fruit, vegetables, cheese and meat, a price per kilogram or pound and the weight. CartSum does the arithmetic. Kilograms or pounds Weigh in kilograms, or switch to pounds and ounces in Settings. Every item keeps the unit it was added with, so switching never rewrites what is already in the cart. Percentage discounts Apply a discount to an item and see both the original and the discounted price. Sales tax Where shelf prices are before tax, switch tax on in Settings and type your rate. The running total then shows what the till will charge, with the rate right beside it. Tax applies to the whole cart, and the item list breaks the total down: subtotal, tax and what you will pay. Running total The total updates with every item you add, and stays readable however long it gets. Fix anything, any time Open the item list to change a price, quantity, weight or discount - or delete an item you put back on the shelf. No surprises at the checkout You see the number before anything reaches the belt. Saved automatically Close the app and the calculation stays. Come back and carry on where you left off. 45 currencies The currency follows your phone's region, and you can also choose it yourself in Settings. Changing it never converts what you already entered - only the way it is shown. Your language The interface follows your device language, and you can also pick a language yourself in Settings. PRIVACY CartSum has no account, no sign-up and no internet connection. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is tracked, and there are no analytics. Your calculations stay in the app on your device and nowhere else - which is also why the whole thing works offline, down to a basement supermarket with no signal. Free. No ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases.
