About The Watch League

The Watch League is the home for watch nerds. It answers a question nobody asked: which watches would come out on top if we all had a say? Every watch in The League has a rank. You're the reason it moves. Swipe right to vote a watch up. Swipe left to send it down. Leave a take. Start an argument. Join our members who apparently have very strong feelings about case diameter and whether a date window ruins everything. BROWSE See where every watch stands in the all-time rankings, updated live. Filter by sub-league, brand, or just your favourites. SEARCH Search across 1,000+ watches. Browse what's new to The League, what's rising this week, recommendations based on your vote history, and watches you might have missed. CURATE Swipe right to upvote, left to downvote. Leave a written verdict on every watch you rate. Your votes update the live rankings in real time — every swipe counts. DISCUSS A social feed of hot takes from your fellow watch nerds, considered verdicts, and the occasional horological hill someone is prepared to die on. Swipe right to Agree with a post, left to Disagree. Leave a note for the author. Compose your own take. Read editorial from The Prodigal Guide. Your Reactions tab shows who responded to you and what they said. NOMINATE Think something's missing? Search first — if it's not in The League yet, nominate it. Type a reference number and brand, model, case material, and specs fill in automatically. YOUR PROFILE Claim your @handle. Build a profile with your bio, favourite brand, One Watch Only pick, social links, and Favourites. Share your public profile at thewatchleague.app/@yourhandle — via link or QR code for in-person handoffs. THE COMMUNITY Follow members whose taste you respect — or whose opinions you enjoy disagreeing with. See who's following you. Find new members. Share any watch with a branded card and a link that opens directly in the app. THE WEEKLY DISPATCH Every Friday: the week's biggest movers, your personalised results — "The League agreed with you" and "The League disagreed with you" — and hand-picked writing from The Prodigal Guide.

What’s new

Version 1.8 · Updated October 21, 2026

The Watch League comes to your Home Screen! Five widgets, in every size iOS offers — including the new extra-large size on iOS 27. "Watch of the Hour" shows a watch drawn from The League as a full-screen photograph, with its position in the rankings, and changes every hour. "New to the League" does the same for the watches most recently admitted, so arrivals find you rather than the other way round. Tap either one to open that watch. "League Table" puts the standings themselves on your Home Screen — The League overall, any of the nine sub-leagues, or your own favourites. Long-press the widget and choose Edit to switch between them. Every row carries the same up or down arrow you see on Curate, and the extra-large size lists 25 places at once. "Watch Nerds" shows where you stand on the voting leaderboard, with the members immediately above and below you. And "Search the League" opens search with the keyboard already up, over the newest watch in the catalogue. Other improvements: Discussions now stay with the watch. When a member agrees or disagrees with someone's take in Discuss and adds a note, that note appears on the watch's own page — threaded directly under the take it responds to, in "What League members say." Previously those notes went only to the original poster's notifications, so the back-and-forth was invisible to everyone else reading the watch. The whole conversation now lives where the watch lives. Replies carry the same controls as the posts above them. You can delete your own, and report or block anyone else's. Deleting a reply removes only the words — your agree or disagree still counts. Reporting has been fixed. Reports of comments, vote reasons and feed posts were being rejected before they were ever saved, which meant nothing anyone reported reached us. That's now working, and reported content disappears from your view straight away while we review it. Also in this release: the Search tab's "New to the League", "Rising This Week" and "You might have missed" could quietly miss watches that had only just been approved, which is fixed; watch links from member pages on the website now open the watch rather than just the app; and returning members who reinstalled or updated are no longer wrongly asked to choose a new @handle, then left stuck when their existing one came back as "already taken." And please rate the app... We continue to beaver away, improving The Watch League. If you're enjoying it, a quick rating or review in the App Store takes thirty seconds and genuinely means the world to us.
