Truck Genie

Truck Genie puts the DVIR, the shop's Work Queue and the truck's paperwork on the phone, for fleets that run their own maintenance. FOR DRIVERS • DVIR: pick the unit, enter the mileage or hours, choose Pre-Trip, Post-Trip or En-Route and go down the checklist. Mark a defect and say what you saw, with a photo when it helps. Certify it and submit. • Prior defects: open defects on the unit are listed before the checklist, and you acknowledge them to continue (49 CFR 396.13). • Unsafe Condition: flag the unit unsafe to operate and your shop gets an urgent alert. Every work item from that inspection is marked Critical. • Add Towed Unit: the trailer gets its own checklist, and one submit sends both. • No signal: the inspection saves on the phone. Tap Retry when you're back in coverage. It keeps the time you did the inspection. • Roadside Ready: pick the truck you're in for its registration and annual inspection, your company's USDOT, MC and insurance documents, and its recent DVIRs and service history. • Documents: your license and medical card with their expiry dates, next to your units' papers. They open from the last copy loaded when there's no signal. FOR MECHANICS • Work Queue: every defect a driver writes up becomes a work item on that unit. Once the shop assigns it, you update the status, priority and notes from the bay. • Notifications when a driver flags a unit unsafe or reports a defect.
