Butterfly Dream: Dream Journal

Write down the dream you just woke up from — then look up what it has meant for the last three thousand years. Butterfly Dream is a dream journal with the Duke of Zhou's Dream Dictionary built in: the classical Chinese reference people have used to read their dreams since long before psychology existed. JOURNAL • Write an entry in seconds — date, title, what you remember, a mood, your own tags • Link an entry to the dictionary entries it matches; when you read one that sounds like your own dream, one tap starts a journal entry with it already attached • Edit or delete anything you have written • A streak counts the mornings you keep it up, with an optional daily reminder • Home screen and lock screen widgets show the dream of the day DREAM DICTIONARY • 177 classical entries across 27 categories — each with the original classical Chinese, a modern reading, and an English translation • Search in English or Chinese — "teeth", "snake", "flying" — with Simplified and Traditional matched alike; Chinese searches also understand everyday phrasing, so 怀孕 or 掉牙 find the entries written the old way • When nothing matches, the app tells you what the dictionary covers and opens the categories instead of leaving a blank page • One dream of the day, every day, with its full in-depth reading free • 15 classical dream types explained, plus 8 legendary dream tales from Chinese literature PRIVATE BY DEFAULT • No account, no sign-up, no email address • Your journal entries stay in your device's own storage • No ads, anywhere • The dictionary works with no network at all WHAT IS FREE All 177 base interpretations are free, and the journal is free and unlimited. Nothing is hidden behind a questionnaire, and you never have to register to read an entry. Butterfly Dream Premium is a one-time purchase — no subscription. It unlocks the in-depth reading for every entry from three angles: psychology, the Five Elements and the I Ching, and modern life. It also adds weekly and monthly dream reports — how many dreams you logged, how your moods were distributed, which themes keep coming back, and which entries to read next — and removes the bookmark limit. DEVICES Works on iPhone and iPad, and respects the system text size you choose.
