Rekal - AI Study Buddy Quiz

Paste a YouTube lecture. Speak your answer. Find out what you actually know. People forget up to 70% of new information within 24 hours. Re-reading doesn't fix it. Highlighting doesn't fix it. The only thing that does: explaining what you learned, in your own words, out loud. Rekal is the voice-first study app built around that idea. Paste any YouTube video, PDF, or your own notes — Rekal generates a personalized quiz in seconds, lets you answer out loud, and AI grades how well you actually understood it. If you can explain it, you know it. If you can't, now you know exactly what to review. HOW IT WORKS 1. Paste anything — a YouTube URL, PDF, or typed notes. Rekal extracts the key concepts and generates a quiz tailored to your content. 2. Speak your answer — explain it out loud, the way you'd explain it to a tutor. Or type it. Or pick multiple choice. Your call. 3. Get real feedback — semantic AI grading tells you what you understood, what you missed, and why. Not just right or wrong — actual explanations that fill the gaps. WHY VOICE GRADING IS DIFFERENT Active recall — retrieving information from memory — is 2-3x more effective than passive review. Speaking forces deeper retrieval than tapping a flashcard. And explaining out loud is the Feynman technique: if you can teach it, you understand it. Rekal grades meaning, not word-for-word matching. Partial credit for partial understanding. Explanations that show you why an answer is correct. The result: you don't just memorize — you actually learn.
