About go for a walk
You already know you should walk more. The hard part is walking the same streets again. Go for a Walk builds walking routes that start and end at your door — through parts of your neighborhood you haven't seen yet. Tell it how far or how long you want to walk, pick what you'd like to discover along the way, and it creates three personalized routes in seconds. Choose one, lace up, and go explore. DISCOVER YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD — AND THE NEXT ONE OVER The app creates walking routes based on real walkable paths, not straight lines on a map. Every route takes you in a different direction so you actually see new streets, new parks, and new corners of your city. You'll be surprised what's been a ten-minute walk from your house this whole time. WALK YOUR WAY Set your walk by distance or duration. Prefer parks and green space? Tap it. Want a coffee shop halfway through? Done. Looking for flat terrain or a hilly challenge? You choose. Customize every walk with: • Green Space — routes through parks and nature • Coffee Stop — walks past cafés for a mid-walk treat • Landmarks — discover interesting spots nearby • Dog Park — perfect for walks with your pup • Playground — great for parents on the move • Flat or Hilly terrain — match your mood and energy PERSONALIZED TO YOUR PACE Connect Apple Health and the app uses your actual walking speed to estimate how long each route will take. Duration mode lets you say "I have 45 minutes" and get a route that fits — calculated at your pace, not a generic average. TURN-BY-TURN VOICE NAVIGATION Follow voice-guided directions so you can look up, not down. The app keeps you on track with clear spoken instructions, haptic cues, and automatic rerouting if you wander off the path. Explore freely — your screen can stay in your pocket. EXPORT TO STRAVA, GARMIN & MORE Every route exports as a GPX file with full elevation data and points of interest. Send it to Strava, Garmin Connect, Apple Watch, or any app that reads GPX. SEE YOUR PROGRESS A weekly stats card shows how many walks you've taken, your total distance, and time on your feet. Every completed walk is saved with distance, duration, average pace, and the neighborhood you explored. DESIGNED TO GET YOU OUT THE DOOR No accounts. No subscriptions. No social feeds. Just a clean, calm interface that does one thing beautifully: helps you discover new walks, every day, right where you are. Built with love for the everyday explorer.
