About Cobia - Fishing App
Your water. Reel stakes. Cobia turns everyday fishing into something you compete in, collect, and show off. Log every catch, watch your Fishdex fill, climb the leagues, and go head to head with the anglers fishing the same water as you. Now available in Spanish, AI guide included. STOP GUESSING Strike Zones reads the bottom, the tide, and the day's conditions, then paints your water with the places most likely to hold fish. Tap a zone to see why it scored, what should be holding there, and what to throw at it. Live now in parts of South Florida, with new water coming fast. THE WEATHER YOU ACTUALLY NEEDED Is it worth going, and when? Every morning you get a bite score for the day and the exact windows worth running for. Drag your thumb across any chart (wind, tide, water temp, swell, rain) and scrub the whole day hour by hour. Watch the wind pour across a live map, pull the rain in on radar, and run time forward to see what's coming. A FEED BUILT FOR ANGLERS See what's being landed on your home waters in real time: catches, short videos, and moments from the anglers around you. Scroll it like a magazine, or post your own. FIND YOUR WATER Every named lake, river, bay, and flat in the country, mapped and ready, with bathymetry, bottom structure, and oyster beds so you can read the water before you ever leave the dock. See what's biting nearby, check the best windows to get out, and discover new spots that fish like the ones you already love. Save the ones that produce, keep them to yourself or share them with the anglers on your water. CATCH EVERY SPECIES Every fish you land is logged in your personal Fishdex, with rarity, region, and behavioral data on every entry. Snap a photo and Cobia names the species instantly. Catch a new one and watch it unlock. Collect them all. MEASURE IT FROM THE PHOTO Tap the nose and the tail and Cobia reads the length off the photo: fork and total, an estimated weight, and the legal measure for that species. Any iPhone. Phones with a depth sensor earn the Measured mark. KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GRABBING Some fish bite. Some have spines that will ruin your week. One of them can shock you, and a few will make you sick if you eat them. The second you ID a catch, Cobia tells you what you're holding and how to hold it, while the fish is still in your hands. A TACKLE BOX THAT FILLS ITSELF Scan a lure's barcode, or snap a photo of your receipt, and it lands in your Digital Tackle Box automatically. Browse a catalog of 46,000+ lures, read reviews from real anglers, and tag what you were throwing on every catch you log. Not in the catalog? Build your own lure, private to you. KNOW WHAT'S LEGAL Size limits, bag limits, open seasons, and special rules for every fish in every state, right when you need it. EARN THE CROWN AT YOUR SPOT Every fishing spot and water body has a leaderboard, and the angler at the top wears the crown. Fish your spot often enough, and the crown is yours to defend. EVERY CATCH VERIFIED The Cobia Camera signs every catch the moment you capture it, earning the Authentic badge that makes you eligible for Slams, leaderboards, and league standings. Only real catches count. FIND A SLAM AT EVERY SPOT Slams are time-bounded, geofenced fishing competitions held right where you fish. Single-species sprints. Multi-species combos. Decided entirely by verified catches against published rules. You can even create your own, and pull your buddies in with an invite link that opens right in the app. 15 LEAGUES, TIN TO COBALT Earn Strikes for every Authentic catch. Weekly performance promotes or demotes you across 15 tiers, from Tin to Cobalt. Promotions are loud. Demotions stay private. AN ANGLER CARD YOU ACTUALLY EARNED Featured photos, trophies earned, crowns held, personal bests, waters where you sit at the top, Slams won, current league. Your Angler Card is the full picture of who you are as an angler, built one catch at a time and ready to show off. Made with love in Jupiter, Florida.

What’s new
Version 1.6.2 · Updated October 4, 2026
NEW IN 1.6.2 Ready for iOS 27. Cobia opens faster and runs smoother on the newest iPhones. Pinch any photo in the feed to zoom right in, and it follows your fingers. The map reads cleaner at every zoom. Your Trophy Case shows the coins you're still chasing, today's guide is waiting when you open the Briefing, and your Strikes standings stay current all week. IF YOU MISSED 1.6.1 MEASURE YOUR FISH FROM THE PHOTO Snap the catch, tap the nose and the tail, and Cobia reads the length right off the photo — fork and total, plus an estimated weight, with the legal measure for that species on the card. Any iPhone. Phones with a depth sensor earn the Measured mark. Forgot at the dock? Measure it later from the catch. YOUR TROPHIES, STRUCK IN METAL Every trophy in Cobia now has its own special metal, drawn for the fish or the feat it stands for. Open your Trophy Case and turn one over. And from Tin to Cobalt, every league now has a badge to wear. EARN IT, FEEL IT Land a new species, keep a streak alive, take a crown, finish a slam, beat a personal best — each one now gets its moment on screen before you go back to fishing. TIDES, EVERYWHERE Tide charts now run the whole 3-day and 7-day window, and the guide answers tide questions for any day and any place. "How's the tide tomorrow at 3 in Naples?" gets a real answer. YOUR BESTS, ON THE WALL Your personal bests now hang on your profile as plaques: the fish, the length, the water, the date. HOLIDAY CATCHES New trophies for a fish landed on a federal holiday. The Fourth counts. So does Christmas. YOUR LURES, YOUR WAY Can't find it in the catalog? Build it. Custom lures live in your Tackle Box, private to you, and tag onto your catches like anything else. ALSO A new set of map markers for water, catches, spots, slams, and shops. Species ID scans right on the photo and comes back faster. Saving a catch drops you back on Home. Photos reload on their own when the signal comes back, the feed loads faster, and imported catches count toward your Strikes standings. Missed 1.6 too? Cobia now speaks Spanish, tells you how to hold the fish you just ID'd, and redrew the whole depth map. Tight lines!
