About Wakeikoku - Japanese Scenery
Wakeikoku is an ambient Japanese scenery app — designed to sit on your desk in landscape and let you watch time move through a calm ink-painted world. Morning mist, afternoon light, sunset glow, a sky full of stars. The scenery shifts gently with the hour, season, and weather. Less of a clock, more of a small Japanese landscape you keep on display. In 1.3.0, Himeji Castle joins the free scene lineup, and Miyajima joins Premium. Miyajima changes with the tide: quiet high-tide views in the morning and evening, and a low-tide daytime scene with visitors on the flats. This app is for people who want a quiet aesthetic on a desk, bedside, or kitchen counter — washi texture, seasonal atmosphere, ambient Japanese visuals, and a sense of time you can feel rather than read. Highlights - 6 ink-painted worlds: Mt. Fuji, Kyoto, Himeji Castle, Tokyo, Seijaku, and Miyajima - Free scenes: Mt. Fuji, Kyoto, and Himeji Castle - Premium scenes: Tokyo, Seijaku, and Miyajima - Time-of-day scenery that shifts through morning, day, evening, and night - Seasonal washi color shifts - Three Seijaku clock styles: wadokei digital, enso analog, or clockless zen mode - Zen mode reacts to touch — tap the screen and ripples spread across the surface - Year-round hourly gold-leaf flourish (duration configurable from 0 to 60 minutes) - Choose your washi background: classic natural or sky blue - 2,800+ real stars, 31 constellations, astronomically accurate moon phases - Custom seal stamps that reflect season, time, place, or a single kanji of your choice - World clock folded into Settings - Portrait & landscape support, with optional landscape lock - No ads, no tracking - Available in Japanese and English Wakeikoku is designed for people who want calm Japanese atmosphere in a room, on a desk, or beside the bed.
