HeardCheck

HeardCheck is the all-in-one restaurant operations app built for the people who actually run the kitchen. Managers, line cooks, servers, and hosts — everything your team needs is in one place. Every feature is free. No more whiteboards for prep. No more group texts for schedule changes. No more guessing what's 86'd. HeardCheck replaces the patchwork of tools, paper tickets, and spreadsheets with a single app your whole team can use. KITCHEN DISPLAY SYSTEM (KDS) Orders hit the screen the moment they're placed. Color-coded tickets show priority, course, station, and elapsed time. Bump items as they're plated. Rush tickets stand out. Your expo line stays organized without shouting across the kitchen. FLOOR MAP & TABLE MANAGEMENT Drag-and-drop floor layout with real-time table status. Seat guests, assign servers to sections, track session duration, and fire courses from the table detail view. See your entire dining room at a glance — who's waiting on entrees, who needs the check, and which tables are turning. SMART MENU IMPORT Take a photo of your menu or paste the text, and HeardCheck uses AI to parse every item — names, prices, categories, stations, and modifiers. Review the results and confirm. Your full menu is loaded in minutes, not hours. PREP LISTS & TEMPLATES Create daily prep lists by station. Assign items to cooks, set par quantities, and track completion with photo proof. Save templates for repeating prep — Monday grill prep, Friday fry prep, weekend brunch. Your BOH team always knows exactly what needs to get done. INVENTORY TRACKING Log items by category with par levels, cost per unit, and vendor info. Count stock fast with the batch count screen. Low stock alerts tell you what to order before you run out. Track waste with dollar values and reasons to find where money is disappearing. SCHEDULING Build weekly schedules, assign shifts by station, and publish to your team. Employees see their shifts, request swaps, and clock in/out from the app. Timesheets auto-calculate hours. No more paper schedules taped to the walk-in. TEAM MESSAGING Send messages to individual staff or the whole team. Announcements go out instantly. No one misses a schedule change or a menu update because they didn't check the group chat. 86'D BOARD Mark items as 86'd with a reason and a tap. The whole team sees it immediately — no yelling across the line, no sticky notes on the pass. FOH ORDER ENTRY Servers enter orders by table and seat, select courses, and fire to the KDS. Split checks, apply tips, and close out — all from the phone in their apron. POS PAYMENTS Integrated Stripe Terminal card payments, digital receipts, settlement reports, tip pooling, and refund management — right from the app. ALL FEATURES INCLUDED Everything is free with no usage limits: unlimited staff, inventory items, prep templates, tables, waste analytics, shift swaps, timesheet export, announcements, server sections, check splitting, and tip pooling. BUILT BY A RESTAURANT WORKER HeardCheck was built by someone who works the line and knows what it's like when the printer jams during a Friday rush. It's fast, it's dark-themed so it doesn't blind you in a dim kitchen, and it works in English and Spanish. Your kitchen. Your data. Heard.
