Sprout Chords

Sprout Chords is the chord chart app built for real musicians — worship leaders, music teachers, students, and anyone learning guitar. BUILD YOUR SONG LIBRARY Create songs the way musicians actually think: add a section (Verse, Chorus, Bridge), then tap the chords into each section from a curated library of 489+ voicings. No more hunting through messy PDFs or paper charts. IMPORT FROM PDF Already have chord charts? Import them directly from PDF. Sprout Chords intelligently extracts sections and chords, recognizing verse, chorus, pre-chorus, bridge, tag, and more — even when labeled inconsistently. 7 GUITAR TUNINGS Switch between Standard, DADGAD, Open E, Open D, Open G, Eb, and C Standard with one tap. Every chord diagram instantly redraws with the correct fingering for your tuning. DADGAD in particular unlocks beautiful 0–2 finger voicings that make songs accessible to complete beginners. SIMPLIFY FOR ANY SKILL LEVEL Four simplify levels let you adapt any song for any player: Full — exactly as written Clean — strips ornaments (Cadd9 → C, Gsus2 → G) Basic — triads only, no 7ths or extensions Beginner — easiest possible fingering for the selected tuning CAPO SUPPORT Set a capo and every diagram automatically shows the correct open-position shape to play, with the original written chord name shown for reference. STAGE MODE Full-screen dark mode with auto-fit scaling. The entire song fits on one screen — no scrolling mid-worship. Landscape mode splits the song into columns. Screen stays on while you play. INLINE EDITING Edit songs directly on the chord chart view. Tap a section title to rename it, long-press a chord to move, duplicate, or delete it. Add lyric cues to remember where each chord lands in the song. SET LISTS Organize songs into set lists for Sunday morning, rehearsal, or class. Launch directly into stage mode from a set list. BUILT FOR SCHOOLS AND CHURCHES Sprout Chords is part of the Sprout Collective — a family of simple, beautiful, subscription-free apps for ministry and education. No ads. No subscriptions. No data collection. Perfect for: Worship leaders and praise bands Guitar students and music teachers Home musicians learning DADGAD or alternate tunings Parents helping children learn guitar Anyone tired of printing paper chord charts
