About Kinetics: Home Gym Coach

Open the app, press start, and do the workout in front of you. The exercise, the sets, the weight, and the rest timer are already decided. When the timer ends, the next set is queued. Your whole job is to lift. Kinetics writes that workout for the gym you train in, then runs the program in blocks so it has a shape. Phases, the same main lifts week to week, and a split that matches how often you get in. YOUR GYM, YOUR PLATES Tell it what you have once. A commercial gym, a rack and a few plates in the garage, or a pair of dumbbells. It only programs what you can load, and it will never give you a weight you don't own the plates for. Save more than one gym and switch when you travel. THE PROGRAM Every week has an overhead pull, a row and a hamstring movement in it. The app checks before it hands you the week. Main lifts stay put through a block so you can see whether they moved. Rest between sets comes from the phase you're in. Ask for 45 minutes and the session is 45 minutes, warm-up and rest between sets included. What you lifted, how hard the sessions were, the lifts you rated up or down and the weight bumps you approved all go into the brief for next week. A lift that has stopped moving gets flagged and pushed toward a change. Your equipment, your session length and anything you've cut are enforced afterwards, whatever else happens. IN THE SESSION One exercise at a time, with the weight, reps and rest already filled in. Your last numbers for that lift are on screen. The rest timer keeps running when you switch apps, stays on your Lock Screen and your wrist, and queues the next set when it ends. The phone stays in your pocket. The plate calculator tells you what to put on the bar. Change things while you're training. Ask the coach to swap a lift when the rack is busy, drop the weight, or turn it into a timed set. Tell it you're done with an exercise for good and it comes out of every session already on your schedule. AFTER THE SESSION Total volume, intensity, which muscles took the work, and any personal records with the estimated 1RM behind them. Volume and strength trends over weeks. Thumbs up or down on any lift, and two thumbs down retires it. If you wear an Apple Watch, the session shows up in Apple Health and your heart rate goes into the report. Sleep and resting heart rate from Health build a readiness score you can look at before you decide how hard to go. YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE No account and no sign-up. Your training history and profile live on the device. Generating a workout and talking to the coach send that request to Google's Gemini API to be processed, and nothing is kept there. What’s new

Version 2.0 · Updated October 13, 2026

Kinetics 2.0. Every screen is redesigned, and Coach K now demonstrates the moves himself. • Coach K shows you the move: 281 exercise demos, built into the app so they play instantly, even offline. • Supersets that fit your gear. Muscle days pair lifts that don't compete, and a pair never needs one bar or one adjustable dumbbell at two weights. No re-plating, no re-dialing. • The rest screen plays Coach K's demo of the lift coming up, and names both lifts of the next pair and their weights, so you can set up both before the round starts. • Your streak is a flame on Home. It grows from Cool to Unstoppable, counts sessions in a row, and a planned rest day or travel day never breaks it. • Your path: new moves open as your lifts hit real numbers, and nothing your program needs is ever locked. Sandbox mode opens every move from day one. • Coach K understands make-up days. He knows what day it is and which of this week's sessions are still open, so a change you ask for on yesterday's workout lands on the session you're about to do. A made-up session counts as done and stops that evening's reminder. • The how-to screen now shows your history on that lift: top sets from your last five sessions, newest first, and your best. • Apple Watch, redone. The weight comes first, one key stays in the same place (SET DONE, START for a timed set, FINISH on the last), and rest shows what's coming up. The Skip key that logged the set anyway is gone. • A best counts only what you actually lifted. A weight on the plan you never hit is no longer a record.
