Smiling Chili makes it easy to save, organize, plan and cook your meals — all in one place. IMPORT RECIPES INSTANTLY See a recipe you like on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube? Just share it with the Smiling Chili app without leaving your feed. Smiling Chili automatically imports the title, ingredients, instructions, and photo. You can of course also save recipes from recipe websites or add recipes manually. ORGANIZE WITH COOKBOOKS Group your recipes into cookbooks — by cuisine, occasion, or however you like. Search and browse all your recipes effortlessly. PLAN YOUR MEALS Add recipes into a weekly meal plan so you always know what to cook and what to buy. Add to your shopping list straight from the meal plan. SHOPPING LIST Add ingredients from recipes or meal plans to your shopping list. Check items off as you shop, add custom items, and share your list with family via a link (they won't need the app to view the shopping list). COOKING MODE Follow recipes step by step in a focused cooking view. Check off ingredients and instructions as you go, set built-in timers, and adjust serving sizes on the fly. Your screen stays on while you cook. SYNC & OFFLINE Your recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists sync across devices. Works offline too — changes sync when you're back online.

Smiling Chili 1.4.0 makes it easier to save your first recipe and to cook from it. NEW • Ingredients are highlighted in the instructions, and amounts written in a step follow the servings and the metric/imperial switch, just like the ingredient list. • Follow along in the import guides for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and websites: a picture-in-picture video walks you through the share sheet while you try it in the real app. IMPROVED • Floating + button on Recipes, Meal Plan and Shopping List, within thumb reach. • A simpler way to add to the meal plan: search, pick, then choose the day. • The Profile tab is now Settings, and Sign Out asks for confirmation. • The Recipes tab scrolls as one page, and Recently added sits at the top. • Shopping list: amount and name on one line, a quicker Add Item sheet, and checked items no longer jump around under your finger. • Tap any ingredient or step on a recipe to open cooking mode. • Units, week start and week display now default to your region's settings. FIXED • Going back to a password field no longer wipes what you typed. • You can paste a verification code into the code boxes, and "Resend code" sends the right code. • Share sheet imports no longer fail with "Please sign in" after switching accounts. • Recipes without a servings count can now be scaled. • Smoother cooking mode when pulling it down, and many smaller fixes.
