About Pulse Companion - Home Monitor

Pulse Companion is the iPhone remote for the Pulse home security app on your Mac. See whether your home is quiet, switch protection modes and get one clear notification when an alarm goes off — wherever you are. HOW IT WORKS Your Mac senses movement in the room through WiFi signal changes. Pulse Companion reads its status through your own private iCloud database. No servers of ours, no account, no third-party cloud. KEY FEATURES • Live Dashboard — Protection mode, whether someone seems to be home, familiar devices nearby, signal quality and recent events, as last reported by your Mac. • Protection Modes — Switch between Home, Away and Vacation from anywhere. Your Mac picks up the change through iCloud. • One Notification per Alarm — Each alarm arrives as a single time-sensitive notification that updates as it escalates, shows what your Mac actually detected, and turns into a short summary when it ends. • Know When Your Mac Disarms — If your Mac switches to Home because your iPhone came back, you get a notification with a one-tap "Arm Guard" in case it wasn't you. • "It's Me" — Silence an alarm at home from your iPhone or Apple Watch. • Apple Watch App — Check protection status from your wrist, with complications. • Siri & Shortcuts — Check status, arm, disarm or dismiss an alarm with your voice or in Shortcuts. • Event History — Review recent security events synced from your Mac. PRIVACY FIRST Pulse Companion never connects to our servers — there are none. All data syncs through your personal iCloud account. No registration, no tracking, no analytics. GOOD TO KNOW Pulse Companion needs a Mac running the Pulse home security app, signed into the same iCloud account. Without it the dashboard shows "Mac offline". Notifications depend on iCloud and push delivery. REQUIREMENTS • iOS 17.0 or later • A Mac running the Pulse home security app, same iCloud account Privacy Policy - https://umay.dev/pulse_privacy.html Terms of Use - https://umay.dev/pulse_terms.html

What’s new

Version 1.2 · Updated October 1, 2026

ONE NOTIFICATION PER ALARM An alarm used to arrive as several notifications — one per escalation level, plus a duplicate. It now appears as a single notification that updates as the alarm escalates, and turns into a short summary when it ends. THE REAL REASON, EVEN WHEN THE APP IS CLOSED Alarm notifications now show what your Mac actually detected instead of a generic sentence, even if the app has been closed. KNOW WHEN YOUR MAC DISARMS If your Mac switches to Home because your iPhone came back home, you get a notification with a one-tap "Arm Guard" in case it wasn't you. CLEARER WORDING "Everyone's Home" is now "Someone's Home", and device counts say what they are: familiar devices nearby.
