About RunNerd: Running Coach
RunNerd reads the runs you've already done and tells you what they mean. Same pace, lower heart rate. Faster, but working harder. Cadence slipping on the long ones. The things your numbers say when someone actually reads them. START WHERE YOU ARE Pick a goal that's actually next for you: run your first mile, run 30 minutes without stopping, finish your first 5K, or step up to 10K. RunNerd builds the plan around it and adjusts as you go. NO WATCH NEEDED Your phone can track and guide the whole run. Tap start and it cues every run and walk interval out loud. If you do have a watch, start it alongside and your heart rate flows into the analysis automatically. RUN/WALK THAT MAKES SENSE Walk breaks are part of the plan, not a failure. Structured intervals with spoken cues, so you never wonder how long is left. YOUR COACH NOTICED After every run, plain-English reads on what actually happened. Not just "you ran 3 miles" — whether your pace improved because you got fitter or because you worked harder, and what to do about it. ASK ANYTHING A coach you can talk to. Ask how to approach today's workout, why last week felt hard, or what your numbers mean. WORKS WITH YOUR GEAR Apple Health, Apple Watch, Garmin, intervals.icu, and anything that writes to Apple Health. Your existing running history comes with you. WHAT YOU GET - Goal-based plans that adapt week to week - Run/walk, easy, interval, and long run types - Guided runs with spoken cues - Post-run analysis in plain English - Weekly and monthly reviews - Personal records and progress tracking - Weather-aware run recommendations - Manual run logging for treadmill and untracked runs Built by a lifter who became a runner and got tired of staring at numbers that didn't explain anything.
What’s new
Version 1.6.3 · Updated September 9, 2026
This update refines plan setup, run tracking and coaching, shaped by what runners told us and what we saw in the numbers. QUICK RUNS • Pick a session and a day, and it's ready for you on Home. Four sessions, from an easy 20 minutes to a longer effort. • Every quick run is coached out loud, with pace at each mile and the time left in each block. • See everything you've booked for the week in one place. SETUP AND SYNC • Tell us what you run with, and the Apple Health request is framed around your answer. • Watch your own runs arrive as they sync. • If a setting needs changing in your watch or running app, we name it and show you where. YOUR RUNS • Mile splits come straight from your watch's own file. • Personal records are recognised and called out — fastest mile, longest run — and your coach knows about them when writing your debrief. • Indoor runs keep recording with your phone in a pocket, with cadence measured indoors. YOUR PLAN • A structured day editor for changing a single day on its own. • Plans follow the run days and workout types you choose. • Long runs stay in range of the distance you've built up to. ALSO • Smoother audio coaching. • A calmer Home screen.
