About DayByDay – Learn

DayByDay is a learning app for children aged 4 and 5. It covers days of the week, months, seasons, numbers, colors, shapes, letters, animals, weather, body parts and food, through short games a child can play without reading. Every question and answer is spoken aloud. GAMES IN EVERY TOPIC Find it!: hear a word and tap the right picture Odd one out, and listen and pick: animal sounds, letter sounds, the weather, counting beeps Week train: put the days in order Year wheel: spin to find months and seasons Yesterday, today and tomorrow Count objects, and find the bigger pile Trace letters and shapes with a finger Mix colors, dress for the weather, and sort fruit and vegetables Movement prompts like “Touch your nose!” Right answers get a cheer. Wrong answers get a gentle hint and another try, with no buzzers and no lost points. Each round ends with “You did it!” A DAILY ROUTINE Each day starts with a short routine: what day it is, what yesterday was and tomorrow will be, the month and the season. Your child then picks today’s weather and puts a sticker on the calendar. Parents can mark days with a picture, such as swim day or grandma day, and the routine mentions a child’s birthday month. LOOK AND LISTEN Every topic also has picture cards to explore. Animals make their sounds and come with a short fact, and letters say their name, their sound and an example word. FOR EACH CHILD A profile for each child, with their own stickers, birthday and progress Practice adapts: anything a child misses comes up more often until they know it A friendly owl asks the questions and cheers them on FOR GROWN-UPS A parent gate protects profiles and a progress page that shows, in plain words, what each child knows and what they’re still mixing up. ACCESSIBILITY DayByDay works with VoiceOver and Voice Control, grows with the Larger Text setting, and supports Dark Mode and Reduce Motion. PRIVATE AND OFFLINE No ads, no accounts, no tracking, no in-app purchases, and no internet connection needed. Everything stays on the device.

What’s new

Version 2.0.2 · Updated October 19, 2026

2.0.2 The first-launch tip about downloading a better system voice is gone. Every word and prompt already plays in the app's own recorded voice. 2.0.1 Accessibility improvements throughout. Works with VoiceOver and Voice Control: every button, card and game is labeled, and tracing and the parent gate can be completed without dragging or holding. Text grows with the Larger Text setting, and screens rearrange to fit at the largest sizes. Higher-contrast cards and labels. 2.0 DayByDay now turns every topic into games. Games in every topic: Find it!, odd one out, and listen-and-pick, with cheers for right answers and a gentle hint for wrong ones. Order and counting: put the week train in order, spin the year wheel, sort yesterday, today and tomorrow, count objects and find the bigger pile. Richer cards: animal sounds and facts, letter sounds with an example word, tracing letters and shapes, mixing colors, dressing for the weather, shaking the device to make it rain, sorting fruit and vegetables, and movement prompts like "Touch your nose!". A daily Today routine: hear the day, month and season, pick today's weather, and add a sticker to the calendar. A friendly owl who asks the questions and cheers your child on. A profile for each child, with their own stickers, birthday and day pictures such as swim day or grandma day. Practice adapts: anything a child misses comes up more often until they know it. A Grown-Ups area behind a parent gate shows what each child knows and what they are still mixing up. A new recorded voice for every word and prompt, so it sounds the same on every device. Everything stays on the device: no accounts, ads, tracking or internet connection.
