Roost - London Rental App

The best London flats do not hang around. If you are still refreshing property sites hoping to spot something new, you are usually too late. Roost is a rental app that watches for you and tells you when a home that suits you appears, so you can be among the first to ask about it. HOW IT WORKS Set your search once: a whole home or a room, the neighbourhoods you want, your budget, how many bedrooms, and everything that matters to you, whether that is outdoor space, pet friendly, good light or a proper bath. Roost watches listings from estate agents across London, and from landlords who list directly, scores every new home against what you asked for, and puts the best ones in front of you first. Open the app and swipe through your feed. Double-tap to save the ones you like. When one is worth asking about, tap Contact: it takes you straight to the agent, and Roost marks the home as contacted in your Tracker. WHY THIS IS DIFFERENT Most property alerts only filter on price and bedrooms. At Roost we analyse every home and give our take on it. We look at transport, condition, natural light, outdoor space and the things you said you care about, then tell you why a home fits. If you need a balcony, a flat without one will not outrank one that has it, however good the photos are. PIN THE PLACES YOU ACTUALLY GO Home, work or your favourite spot. Set them once and every home tells you how far it is, door to door, on the card and on the detail screen. Your work is 22 mins away and only 5 minutes to the gym, perfect. SHARE YOUR SEARCH Looking with a partner, flatmates or friends? Share a Tracker and keep every home in one place. Move each one along, from Saved and Contacted to Viewing and Applied, and everyone sees it change. No more forwarded links or lost screenshots. EVERY VIEWING, LOOKED AFTER Your Tracker looks after every home you save. Keep track of viewings, add it to your calendar, and set a reminder so you are not late. Keep your questions for the agent in one place, ready for the door. Afterwards, say how it went, so you remember which one you loved. A THREAD ON EVERY HOME Every saved home has a comment thread. The small thing only one of you noticed about the kitchen, the question worth asking the agent, the reason you are not sure yet. It stays with the home, ready for the next time anyone opens the app. STILL THERE, OR NOT A home that has already gone is no use to anyone. Roost keeps checking the ones you have saved and tells you when one leaves the market, so your shortlist stays honest. HOW YOUR BUDGET FITS LONDON Our insights shows how your budget sits in London's market, with a slider you can move to see what a little more or a little less would open up. Like the look of it? Save it as your new budget. Areas compares what homes typically cost across the areas in your search, and the ones nearby, so you can see where your money goes furthest. The figures come from the homes Roost has seen over time. YOUR LONDON, YOUR NEIGHBOURHOODS Get specific about where you want to live, and discover areas that you'll love. Search by neighbourhood, postcode or station. Roost matches at neighbourhood level across North, South, East, West and Central London, so your feed is the streets you actually had in mind. SIGNING IN Use Apple, Google, or just your email address. We send you a link, you tap it, you are in. No password to remember. Built by a London renter who got tired of the search.
