About Sweetspot Golf

Sweetspot Golf — Your Personal Golf Coach Golf practice, made simple: for consistent golf, a better handicap and more fun. Good shots on the range but no consistency on the course? Too many thoughts during your swing? Not enough distance off the tee? Sweetspot Golf brings structure to your practice and helps you improve step by step. YOUR TRAINING BUDDY — YOUR DIGITAL COACH Enter your current and your target handicap. The Buddy compares your game against insights from over 14,000 amateur rounds and shows you where you lose the most strokes – and what to train next. Data-driven, personal, no guesswork. YOUR TRAINING PLAN — YOUR TIME, YOUR PROGRESS Tell us which days and how long you want to practise – the app spends your time on the areas where the most strokes are waiting for you. The home screen shows your goal as a golf hole: tee shots, long game, short game and putting, each with the strokes you can still gain there. The Coaching tab holds your weekly plan, the training calendar and three guided video trainings by PGA pro Fabian Bünker: Speed Stick, Putting and Short Game. THE TRAININGS • Rhythm Trainer: pick a pattern and a tempo – optionally Fabian's voice counts the beat, even with the screen locked. On Apple Watch you feel the rhythm on your wrist. • Launch Monitor: connect your Garmin R10 (Bluetooth) or PiTrac (Wi-Fi). The training strips the data down to the one or two metrics that matter per club – with targets for your handicap and instant feedback. • Golf Wheel of Fortune: the wheel spins up random distance tasks for putting and short game – every session different. No more hitting 50 identical shots – rate results straight from your Apple Watch. • Ball Sequence: every ball has to carry longer or shorter than the previous one. How long can you make your perfect streak? • Speed Training: systematic overspeed workouts with your launch monitor for more distance off the tee. • Swing Mirror: one device films, the other is your mirror – watch yourself swing live, no Wi-Fi network or internet needed. The session saves to your Photo Library. • Success Journal: check in before a session or round, set your focus, reflect afterwards. Your mental caddie. YOUR PROGRESS The Training Handicap shows your practice effort on the familiar scale from 54 towards 0 – with a weekly goal and trend, independent of your official handicap. The handicap trend of the last 12 months shows how close you are to your goal. And whether Garmin, FlightScope, Rapsodo, Uneekor or GSPro: import your launch monitor's session exports and every shot joins one history. THE CLUBHOUSE Leaderboards, 32 awards, duels and community. Compete on your longest Ball Sequence streak, challenge friends to 1v1 Golf Wheel of Fortune duels, or – with Sign in with Apple – create private groups with their own leaderboards. Privacy first: you only appear on leaderboards if you explicitly turn it on. Signing in is optional, and you can delete your account anytime in the app. PASSES Try 10 days for free. Then Birdie Pass (all trainings and training plans) or Eagle Pass (everything incl. the video trainings), monthly or yearly. All training data syncs via iCloud – existing data is carried over automatically on update. What’s new

Version 2.0.5 · Updated September 25, 2026

Garmin R10: carry, apex and sideways offset are now calculated with the Garmin Golf app's own flight model — irons used to read up to 50 m too long, so your carry targets will be shorter. The spin axis shows the correct side, device alerts say plainly what is wrong (overheated, tilted, interference), and the Bluetooth connection is sturdier: your R10 reconnects automatically. New in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein: Fabian's golf blog (in German). The latest articles appear with their picture right in News, and new articles land in your inbox automatically with a preview — tap "Read Article" to open the full post. Fixed: briefly switching tabs during a Ball Sequence or launch monitor training no longer splits it into two sessions — the session just carries on, and its date and duration are saved correctly. And "View award" now really opens your awards. Fixed: the "Instructions" button at the top right of the trainings is no longer cut off ("Instructi…"). On small iPhones, where the word has no room next to a long title, it shows a book icon instead. Fixed: launching the app sideways no longer puts the wordmark across Fabian's face — in landscape the text now sits beside the photo instead of on top of it. Fixed: the Training tab opens without a brief stutter — the Rhythm Trainer's audio setup now runs when you start a session, not when you open the tab. Improved: picking your launch monitor now uses labelled tiles instead of one cramped row — they wrap to a second row beyond three devices, so no device name is cut off. Fixed: the app starts smoothly again — the launch screen used to stall because the putting and short-game test reminders were being recalculated on the main thread while it was showing. Improved: the analytics consent question now comes first, before your data is restored. If your earlier answer is out of date, you will be asked once more — after that, your answer applies again.
