Crown of the Empire Chapter 4

Maid of honor Elena had just entered her home after traveling through time when she was overtaken by the news of her mother's death. After the ceremony, a messenger approached her with a letter from her younger brother William. He wrote that he would not accept his mother's death and would travel to the other side of the world to find a way to resurrect his mother. Elena decided that the letter had been written recently, and she would be able to catch up with her brother to dissuade him from this journey, but no matter how hard Elena tried, she did not have time and her brother had already sailed away. Then the maid of honor decided to gather her team again to dissuade her brother from a very strange undertaking. Her friend, engineer Percy, expressed an interesting idea about which direction William could have gone: - I think he sailed to the islands in the Pacific Ocean. - At that time, only a few flights departed, and only one went across the Pacific Ocean - Elena confirmed. - Exactly. I think he wants to land somewhere on the Polynesian islands. - Why do you think so, Percy? - He once told me about a book he bought at an auction, which described mysterious places in this world, about which amazing legends go. As if they are a passage between the world of the living and the world of the dead. And there, by performing a certain ritual, you can bring a person back to life. - After what we have seen, this no longer seems supernatural. But there must be more than one of these places in the world? - True, there are several, but where exactly they are is unknown. William said that he found a mention that on the Polynesian islands there are monuments with clues as to where one can find one of these places. And I think that's where he went. - Sounds reasonable. Then get the balloon ready, we'll try to overtake it! Go with Elena on an amazing adventure through the world of an alternative Victorian era.
