Jesus Prayer

The Jesus Prayer is one of the oldest and most profound forms of Christian prayer — Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner — prayed continuously, breath by breath, until it becomes as natural as breathing itself. This app exists for one purpose: to help you build a daily rule of the Jesus Prayer and keep it. You begin with thirty seconds. That's enough. Pray once, every day, and your rule grows — gently, naturally — as your capacity deepens. Miss a day, and the app responds with the same mercy the prayer itself asks for. This app is not your prayer life. It is its bedrock — the quiet discipline beneath your liturgy, your Psalter, your fasting, and all else. The ultimate aim is not to pray at a scheduled time, but to become a person who prays without ceasing. Features: A simple, distraction-free prayer screen with a breathing animation and optional timer A daily rule that grows after seven consecutive days of faithful prayer Gentle reminders at the canonical hours or any custom time you choose A brief introduction to the tradition and theology of the Jesus Prayer A word by word breakdown including Greek and Hebrew references The Jesus Prayer has been prayed for sixteen centuries. This app asks only that you pray it once today.
