About Reptile Care Tracker - Cage

Cage is a reptile care tracker for keepers of snakes, lizards, geckos, tortoises, amphibians and invertebrates. Log feedings, weigh-ins, sheds, enclosure temperatures, vet visits and breeding for every animal, from one leopard gecko to a rack of ball pythons. FEEDING - Log each meal: food item, quantity, method (live, frozen-thawed, tong-fed, left in the enclosure, assisted) and whether it was accepted, refused or partly eaten - Set a feeding interval for each animal; Home lists who is due today or tomorrow and who is overdue, with a Mark Fed button - Seasonal schedule: a different interval for part of the year (say every 21 days from November to February), or no feeding at all while an animal fasts - Brumation plan: feeding pauses before the start date (2 weeks for snakes and lizards, 3 to 5 weeks for tortoises and turtles depending on weight) and resumes after it ends - Reminders at 9:00 on the day a meal is due, and for a planned brumation: the last meal, the start and the wake-up - Feeding history with the acceptance rate WEIGHT AND HEALTH - Weigh-ins in grams, ounces or pounds, a weight chart and the change since the last weigh-in - Home flags an animal that refused two of its last three meals, or whose latest weight is more than 10% below the previous one - Shed log: complete, mostly complete, patchy or incomplete, and where it stuck - Vet visits with the clinic, reason, diagnosis, treatment, medications and cost - Medications with dose and frequency, and health notes with a category and severity ENCLOSURE - Hot side, cool side, basking spot and ambient temperatures in °C or °F, plus humidity, with a history for each animal - Enclosure type, size, substrate, heating, UVB and primary food on every animal's page YOUR COLLECTION - Snakes, lizards, geckos, chameleons, tortoises, turtles, frogs, salamanders, arachnids and more - Morph or locale, sex, date of birth, acquisition date, source and notes, a profile photo and a photo gallery - Search by name, species or morph, filter by group, sort by next feeding, and switch between list and grid - Select several animals and log one feeding or weigh-in for all of them - Mark an animal as in brumation, in quarantine, rehomed or deceased without losing its history CAGE PRO - Unlimited animals (free: up to 3 active animals) - Breeding records: pairings, and clutches with egg count, fertile and infertile eggs, incubation temperature and medium, hatch dates and number hatched - AI Care Advisor powered by Grok: ask about husbandry, feeding or something you noticed. To answer, Cage sends your question and a summary of up to 10 of your animals (name, species, morph, age, last weight, days since the last meal and how it went) through our server to Grok. Answers are general guidance, not veterinary advice. - Collection stats: animals, feedings, weigh-ins, sheds, vet visits and total vet costs - CSV export of your animals, feedings, weights, sheds and vet visits In the US, Cage Pro is $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year (US prices; other countries see their own price in the app). What’s new

Version 1.1.1 · Updated October 12, 2026

What's New in Cage 1.1.1 - Reminders now work. Cage 1.1 promised feeding and brumation reminders but never asked your iPhone for permission, so none arrived. Sorry about that. Cage now asks when you set a feeding schedule or plan a brumation, then reminds you at 9:00 on the day a meal is due, and for a brumation: the last meal, the start and the wake-up. Switch them off any time in the app's settings. - Your units everywhere: pick °C or °F and grams, ounces or pounds in the settings, and every form and screen follows. Nothing you logged changes. - Brumation for tortoises and turtles: the last meal now comes 3 to 5 weeks before the start, depending on weight, as the Tortoise Trust advises. Snakes and lizards keep 2 weeks. - Animals in quarantine keep their feeding schedule and reminders. - Fixed: deleting all data now also removes photos, pairings, clutches and pending reminders, and costs show in your own currency.
