ThisTown App

ThisTown is a Maryland-based travel technology startup reimagining how people discover and experience destinations. Built to eliminate the fragmentation and noise of traditional travel planning tools, ThisTown connects travelers directly with vetted local experts who provide authentic, experience-based recommendations and live concierge support all within a single mobile platform. Modern travel planning is overloaded with generic search results, anonymous reviews, scattered social media posts, maps, and disconnected booking tools. While these resources provide volume, they rarely provide clarity. Travelers seeking meaningful, local experiences often struggle to identify trustworthy guidance that reflects real, lived expertise. ThisTown addresses this gap by replacing algorithm-driven guesswork with curated, human insight. At its core, ThisTown is a two-sided marketplace that serves both travelers and local experts. For travelers, the app delivers a streamlined experience that begins with intuitive onboarding and location-based discovery. Users can explore expert-curated dining recommendations, hidden attractions, cultural experiences, and local events specific to their destination. Rather than jumping between apps to build an itinerary, travelers can save favorites, organize trips, and access personalized suggestions in one integrated workflow. The platform is designed to reduce cognitive overload while increasing confidence in decision-making.
