About Bantam Tools Font Maker
Font Maker turns your handwriting into a real, usable font — drawn with Apple Pencil on your iPad. Write the way you naturally do, and Font Maker builds a clean single-stroke SVG font you can export and use in your own work. • Draw every letter, number, and symbol in a focused character editor • Write whole words freeform and let Font Maker split them into letters • Fine-tune any glyph, then apply your settings across the whole font in one tap • Preview your font in real text as you build • Warm up with a daily word puzzle, drawn in your own hand Create, preview, and edit for free. A one-time purchase unlocks exporting your finished font as an SVG — no subscription. Made for iPad and Apple Pencil.
What’s new
Version 1.2.1 · Updated October 22, 2026
Improvements - Handwriting variation is now a single Handwriting Defects slider. - Optimize & Export now previews imported fonts' outlines. - Delete documents from the font list, with a confirmation. - Signature slots are named instead of shown as math symbols. - Cursive is labeled experimental, with clearer instructions for joins. - About now includes Acknowledgements. - Words: Discard and Save & Exit now affect only the current sitting, so earlier reviews are kept.
