One rule sets this patience apart from every other eight-column game, and it is not a small one. On the tableau you build down in the same suit. Not alternating colours. The same suit. That single constraint rewires everything. A red seven no longer welcomes a black six; it wants the six of its own suit, and there is exactly one of those in the deck. Long tidy runs become rare. The four cells stop being a convenience and become the whole game: four slots, one card each, and every one you fill is a slot you no longer have. The deal All fifty-two cards go face up in eight columns, seven cards in each of the first four and six in the rest. Nothing is hidden and nothing is drawn. Everything you need to solve the board is on screen from the first second, which means a loss is never bad luck. It is a plan that ran out of room.
