Lumen: Daily Examen

Lumen guides you through the daily Examen, the centuries-old spiritual practice of letting the day pass in review before God. SEVEN GUIDED STEPS Attunement → Gratitude → Petition for Light → Review → Transgressions → Resolution → Conclusion. One question per screen. No distractions. PRIVACY FIRST All entries remain encrypted on your device. No account, no ads, no tracking. Your transgressions, resolutions and notes stay with you. Only if you switch on the cloud backup yourself is an encrypted copy kept — one we cannot read. NO PRESSURE No streaks. No points. No nudges telling you to "complete" anything. Lumen is not a game. It is a tool for your prayer. CONFESSION PREPARATION Transgressions are collected in an examination of conscience and can be exported as a printed PDF to bring to confession. After confession, Lumen deletes them by default: what is forgiven need not be counted any more. If you prefer, you can keep them marked as confessed instead. An analysis of your transgressions only exists if you turn it on yourself. DAILY GOSPEL & IMPULSES Scripture for each day, Ignatian impulses for each step. Offline too. ON ALL YOUR DEVICES Widgets with the impulse of the day for Home Screen, Lock Screen and StandBy — with a quiet invitation to the examen in the evening. On Apple Watch: the daily impulse, the examen in seven questions, and the haptic breath prayer on your wrist. With Siri: "Start my examen". Also runs on iPad and on Macs with Apple silicon. WHO LUMEN IS FOR For Catholics who want the daily Examen of St. Ignatius of Loyola as a fixed evening practice. For anyone preparing for confession who does not know where to begin. For people prone to scrupulosity, who need an app that does not count and does not nag. For beginners without any background as much as for those who have made the Exercises. WHAT LUMEN IS NOT Not a prayer library with a thousand texts, but one practice you will actually keep. Not a chatbot and not a spiritual director: nobody reads or judges your entries, and no AI touches them. Not a streak game. And not a replacement for confession or spiritual direction, but a preparation for both. ADDITIONALLY (LUMEN MAGIS) Advanced statistics, Spiritual Exercises for Advent and Lent, Ignatian discernment of spirits. Roman Catholic teaching. No AI on your texts. No telemetry. Recognise yourself in the light. Lumen MAGIS is an auto-renewable subscription. Duration and price are shown in the app before purchase; you can manage or cancel it any time in your Apple account settings.
