About Mado: Digital Dopamine Detox

You open an app to check one thing. Forty minutes later you are still scrolling. Not because you are weak, but because the feed is engineered to hold you. Mado puts a window between you and the feed. THE PAUSE Pick the apps, categories or websites that pull at you. When you open one, Mado shows a calm shield with two choices: - Close app, and get back to your day - Enter for 15 minutes, then the shield returns No lectures, no guilt. Just one honest moment to choose. THREE FOCUS MODES - Shizuku 滴 (Droplet): 3 sessions per app per day - Nagare 流 (Flow): 2 sessions per app per day - Izumi 泉 (Spring): 1 session per app per day Every app keeps its own count. When the sessions run out, the window closes until midnight. Changes that loosen your limits wait until midnight too, so a weak moment cannot undo a strong decision. ON YOUR SCHEDULE Keep the shield on all day, or only when it matters: work hours, a wind-down before bed, or your own windows, overnight included. DEEP FOCUS Need an hour with no exits? Start a Deep focus session from 15 minutes to 4 hours and lock it until it ends. SEE WHAT YOU WIN BACK - Time reclaimed today, this week, this month - The apps that call loudest, and the hours they call - Streaks, consistency and a weekly path - A bonsai Focus garden that grows with every pause you keep - 7 achievements marked in kanji, from your first pause (一) to the path (道) - Small and medium Home Screen widgets CALM BY DESIGN Mado (窓) means "window" in Japanese. Washi paper, sumi ink, light and dark themes, and 18 app icons to choose from. Notifications are off unless you turn them on. PRIVATE No account needed. Mado uses Apple's Screen Time framework, and your list of blocked apps stays on your iPhone. SUBSCRIPTION Mado requires a subscription. New subscribers may be eligible for a free trial.
