About SMART trip – Community App
SMART trip helps you plan SMART train travel across Sonoma–Marin, with clear schedules and practical trip tools—plus real-time trip status and service alerts when available. What you can do: * Plan trips between SMART stations in seconds * View station timetables with “next train” clarity * See ferry connections when traveling via Larkspur * View service alerts inside the app (with an unread badge) * See real-time trip status indicators such as delays and cancellations (when provided by the feed) * Dark mode + accessibility-friendly UI SMART trip is community-built and not affiliated with Sonoma–Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART).
What’s new
Version 1.11.1 · Updated October 10, 2026
• My Trip: "Take this train" now opens a page for your trip, with live times, a countdown and where your train is right now. • If you're closer to a different station than the one your train leaves from, the app offers to fix your stations. This only happens if you've already allowed location access. • Looking at another day's schedule now shows every train, and you can take a train and set a reminder for a later day. Thanks Dana! • Fixed "Show earlier trains" disappearing after the day's last train.
